Sivo, Dunster, Greig, Niukore (also suspended) were injured for round 1. Nathan Brown also returned from leg surgery in round 1, had no trial minutes.
Where was opacic round 1?

My opinion is no you don’t.
What if he plays Will Smith like but we still win 3 of those 4? Will you complain then?
What if there was an injury in the halves?
He’s a backup. How good do his stats need to be ffs? Did he stop us winning? Was our attack worse with him in the team? How about our defence?
*plenty of merkins on this site
No he didn’t get it right at the start in my opinion. In hindsight, round 1, do u think Ba got it right with team selections, when we had no injuries. The usual huggers are cherry picking the facts now to suit their argument. Yes there’s injuries now but there wasn’t round 1.
Just because he doesn't have any option doesn't mean he shouldn't use the other option that he doesn't even have.No he didn’t get it right at the start in my opinion.
Does he have an option now though? I asked the question a few days ago and most people in the know said he didn’t.
Favour the Roosters?? I’d argue the faster game gas hurt them and the way they slow down the ruck. The rest is just rubbish and excuses. The rules were changed last year to favour faster teams. As for the Roosters, they should finish ahead of us every year because of their resources. With no injuries they should finish well ahead. With a lot of injuries it was only slightly ahead. This is why in their premiership window they can win back to back comps while in ours the best we might do is a close game against the eventual premiers. Do you still think it’s an even competition?

We won 50% of our finals whereas they won 33% with two floggingsYep getting knocked out in week 2 was heaps better than making a prelim.
We didn’t need him in round one. He provided no cover for the spine without a massive reshuffle. With Arthur he covered spine and wing/centre because of Drown’s versatility. But that versatility doesn’t come into play with Opacic on the bench.Where was opacic round 1?
We conceded three in round one, mostly on the other side of the field. We haven't conceeded a try I don't think with him in the field??
Fair call. I get the JA criticism as well. Even acknowledging that he is a back up I just don’t see anything in his game at all. Hopefully we get some players back because I don’t want to see him in the team.that’s a fair comment and I can cop that. Most here think we’re hating on ja because of his surname. That’s far from the truth. It’s his playing ability that’s the issue. And that’s regardless of his age or experience.
yes we have injuries now. And yes I believe Bryce would be a better option.
I’m totally not understanding ba’s team selections. Bryce has a decent game off the bench and the following week he’s not selected.
No it favoured Manly. The Chooks don’t need favouritism because they have so many recruitment/retention advantages.Favour the Roosters??
Id prefer Jake to Will.4 or 5 missed tackles.
one forward pass
one Kick dead
Hospital ball to Nrown.
had will smith had these stats in previous years you and others would be calling for his sacking
some people are still saying Moses isn’t capable of taking us to premiership glory,
Despite what he brings to the team.
yet you’re willing to turn a blind eye to ja’s amazing stats.
Id prefer Jake to Will.
I’ve actually be toying with the idea (obviously would’ve struggled during Covid) of using UK as a bit of a breeding ground. It’s a different style to NRL but from what I’ve seen it’s like on average way better quality than NSW Cup.Actually I wish we would have retained Jai Field. He was a pretty good back up. Killing it in England apparently.
