Im not a Will Smith fan Chiefy. Id prefer Beau Henry to WS. What ever happened to Beau. He was killing it in Ron Massey for 2 years and couldnt get a game in grade. That was weird.

Bev is an interesting one. Towards the end of his Eels tenure he was playing 5/8 in the 2s and absolutely killing it yet he couldnt get a look in. Also didnt BA try to get him back?

Bevan let himself down in the 2018 season disaster.

You learn more about a player when things are going bad.

Bevan looked like he spat the dummy in 2018 for some unknown when things didn't go his way and some efforts on the field werent good enough.

I recall a chase where he just gave up and let the tryscorer bring it closer to the posts.

His cards looked marked after that.

2018 wasnt a great year for the coach or team either mate. Maybe Bev had reason to react as he did? Just as BA can have his favourites he can equally turn on a player. Fui, Mannah, Bev. There are probably others but I cbf'd.

tbh thought he was a pretty good player at Manly before he went over there. Didn’t have run of the side at Manly obviously and think he had off field issues as well

Incidentally he played for the chooks as a 20yo half in 2016. The year Pearce missed half a year and Cordner and others also missed half a year. They finished 15th, Hastings wasn’t great. Not a bad player now

Very impressive young man now days. His maturity off the field has obviously translated to his on field performances.

I saw some footage of him in the sheds last week.

The second Brooks walked into the group he was geeing everyone up and making Brooks the centre of attention. Little instances like that can make a huge difference.

Ive really enjoyed what I have seen from Hastings this year - on and off the field.

I am only there for one night before the game and my dinner plans are currently up in the air.
Will probably be somewhere down at the Waterfront as thats where I am staying or else at the Ski Club with some friends that are heading up as well. Last year I was lucky enough to have dinner with some people from the club and ended up sitting with Ella, Kenny and Wynn so who knows what will happen this year.
