Just on weather conditions, when we played them in Darwin it was 35 degrees that day and IIRC it was over 30 at kick off with 60% plus humidity.

This Friday the BOM forecasts a top of 31. Today it’s 30 up there with the temp at 8pm predicted to be 23. Humidity at this time of year should be about 65%

So hopefully far less oppressive than Darwin.

Losing to Penrith was a blessing i feel. We have our momentum back the game against raiders we were able to cruise in the 2nd half enough that it wasn't a brutal 80 mins to endure.

Imagine if we win the Penrith game and had to wait to play souths in a prelim at Accor who our record is shocking against.

Then probably have to beat Penrith again in the GF if both made it. As Penrith would have made the GF the long way anyway.

Would have preferred Sharks at Allianz then Townsville and we were 30 seconds away from that matchup. But it is what it is. We should have a quiet confidence how best is better just how we handle conditions in Townsville.

Darwin's humidity at night is definitely worse then Townsville.

Complete random question but do any of you legends have an AAN code they can share with me to get early access to tickets? I am based in NQ and have been an Eels fan for 40 years! I have B&G Army access at 1 but was hoping a ticketed member could help a brother out?

Good luck!

Dave Riccio on SEN reckons Opacic unlikely this week. Hamstring isn't bad and will probably be right for GF day.

But this week probably not enough time.

BA likely to move Marata to centres and bring either Carty or Nrown onto the bench.

Simmonson unlikely to play as they don't want to move Waqa back into the centres.

I personally think Bailey would be a better utility on the bench covers FB, Wing & Centres. And if the halves go down Gutho moves to the halves and Bailey to FB.

I don't think moving Marata to centre is a good idea. He is playing really well in the middle to start the game.

In my opinion Riccio delivers "smart money" opinions as fact. He extrapolates snippets into whole stories. He said on Saturday morning that the club said that the injury was "not as bad as first thought" and from then on he just applied that to the Dr Google algorithm to conclude that he'll be touch n go. Personally I don't believe for a second that our club would be giving any leads to News Ltd or Nine journos for the rest of the year.

In your opinion? Who else's opinion was it going to be if your wrote it?

Have you noticed that the benchmark has changed ? Two months ago it was LOL straight sets BA has gotta go. Then it was making the GF. Now it's how we lose the GF.

There is more to it mate. I have good mail

I would have prefered to beat Penrith 4 times in the one year...

I feel Souths will do a number on Penrith this week. Failing that, it will be a brutal game for both.
