Timing may be wrong? Or he needed more first grade experience before taking the reigns?

Following Bennett is always a hiding to nothing plus players on the wrong end of their careers etc.

“Timing is everything. There is a tide in the affairs of men which when taken at the flood leads on to fortune.” - William Shakespeare[/QUOTE)

This royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this Kogarah,
This nurse, this teeming womb of royal kings,
Fear'd by their breed and famous by their earth
Yea these Dragons , Giants for their worth .

There is a difference between young players in position who need time to develop, and players either a) out of position &/or b) do not have the potential. The former is a work in progress, and the latter is a waste of everybodys time.

This is why I declared our season over when I saw the selections for the Panthers Game... we have been driving into a deep black hole for well over a month and nothing being done to turn it around.. Vidot has been cancerous (Kyle less so, but its an issue, as was Prior/Scott at Centre), but Vidot particularly has single-handedly lost us several games already (and hes just a winger.. not even a key position), this has a knock on effect, we lose confidence, we lose the winning culture, we drop more ball, we start losing more close games, we have more trouble retaining players & recruitment, this stuff takes a long time to fix.
