I love the Friz. We have only scratched the surface with him. But I do think his future is out wider than we are currently playing him. He just needs to get his defence right and he'll be a star on the edge.

I see him as a young Jeremy Smith. Hard nosed, hard hitting and runs intelligent lines. He is just as good through the middle (say lock?) as he is out wide. Although him running off Widdop out wide would be delicious. Just think, options of Friz onto Thompson, onto Flo with THEDuges sniffing round the back... Woops, gota go grab a towel lol.

Last year I saw his strength and athletic ability but balanced against his poor defensive reads he was a liability. This year he is a different player and forget Jeremy Smith he can be as devasting as Talis in his prime.....Smith will always be a bit smarter. I now have a huge rap on Friz although he is still a lil late to react in defence. He has a huge motor and bullbar! We have a lot of good forwards under 23...Friz, Merrin, JDB, Stockwell, Rein, Au Mau and although we are not quite on the pace mostly due to refs preceived poor discipline we are a powerhouse about to happen with just one big monster missing. So glad we didn't buy Fajita as he's done zero this year and just looks frustrated.

Any1 know what's up with JDB and Friz? Jack has served his 1 week and Friz was supposed to be fit for this weeks match.. Pricey playing sneaky buggers? Surly JDB/friz>Mathews/Harrison?

Price had to name a team so he did lol, he hasn't even reviewed the tapes and wasn't even close to selecting a team.....just copy and paste

don't wanna be a buzzkill, but I wouldn't put Rein and Ah Mau in the same class as the other 4 you mentioned. Those 2 are replaceable. I'd be filthy if we lost Friz, Mez, Stockwell or DBelin.

Hopefully we see Stanley get some runs on the board in Cutters.

Only Frizzell and Stockwell are under 23 we are not quite on the pace because of an ordinary coaching setup.

Still waiting for De Belin to really stamp himself...he get's dominated when he runs the ball. Very solid in defense though

So I should have said around 23! Rein 22, Friz 22, Stockwell, 22, Merrin 24, cooper 25, Thompson 25, Au Mau 24. My point is its a very young pack and in 1-2yrs they will be a damn good one with the edition of a big prop. JDB & Stockwell be peaking this time next year as will Friz

Actually Rein is 24 next week ,but yes i agree these lads are of a good age , i just worry that our man (PRICE) does not have the smarts to get them to the next level.I think Frizzell is the standout as having potential and Merrin definately a top performer.I liked REIN when he first came on the scene im not so sure now, i fear it may be as good as it gets for him ,sorry about bringing up a technicality on the age deal but i feel it can be easy sometimes as the time passes quickly and then all of sudden you realise a bloke has been playing a while and hasnt come on that well and cant any longer be classified as an" up and comer".Thanks for the good posts also,I may not agree with everything you post but enjoy reading what you write .:)

He looked great against Souffs in attack, best I've seen him play tbh.
He seemed pumped to play against that pack which I think led to overenthusiasm and getting pinged for the lifting charge.

Thanks mate appreciated. I agree its easy to still think they are up & comers but time can slip them by. Forwards mature a little later as a rule and while there can be exceptions when the whole pack is young it won't happen overnight. I never thought this year would be it but am excited about 2015 if we can find a dominant prop to go with these kids that I believe are about to hit their straps. I was banking on JMoz returning as well. Farrell was improving each week but I think Mata'Utia is a good prospect also. Not sure how Runciman would go switching sides but I feel he'll be better served building for next year. Beale is really looking confident now on the left and his defensive reads are improving. Reins 1st season had me touting him for SOO but his form dropped with the teams, he is having a better year but not back to what he was, defence has been outstanding though with 49 tackles last week and consistantly over 40.

I agree he wasn't intimidated at all, scored a try which is a good sign. I don't think he gets dominated but doesn't look likely to break the line but seems to be growing in power and confidence. His development has been a Lil slower than I expected but he'll get there now he's permanently in the 17. Certainly 1 of our best defenders and has been from his 1st few NRL appearances. Not everyone smashes Sam Burgess, the hit he put on Thiaday last year or year before was enjoyable as well lol but he tackles around the legs just as effectively

Just realised in all the pandemonium following the game there hadn't been much discussion on Witts performance. How are we feeling? Did his job, good defense, nothing spectacular but still coming back from shoulder

Witt is the ideal utility player. I'd rather have Williams at half for an extended run. There is too much chopping and changing at the moment (some of it forced by injury).

Thought he went well overall.
Had some good touches, solid in D...
