I would be happy just to make the finals, we have a lot of young guys they will get a lot out of that, might even Jag win first week of finals

Lol true. But there should be moves to bring in a defensive specialist (assuming there is one already but whoever it is they are not performing).

Yeah, part of a question I asked previously. What/who is/are our coaching staff

Could be there is a defensive coach but the players don't get whatever it is he is trying to achieve or are not buying in.

Probably need to be mentioned we have barely had the same side on the park for more than 2 games in a row.

I'm also forming an impression that Bombers 2020 bench use extends beyond the weekly game. Seems to be a lot of week to week rotation with the bench. Changing starters, leaving a snorkel out to give a different snark a run. It's not always due to injury in context of the forwards. Stamina building due to shortened season maybe? Make sure as many of the woulda been reggies are getting some kms in the legs so when the semis come and some skunk goes down the blokes coming in are not coming in without footy under their belts?

Bomber might just be smarter than we think

I mentioned that earlier. A week or so ago. Seems the guys he is putting on the bench and getting time aren’t always due to the injuries or a rotation as such.

Royce Hunt, as an example was used in the last 20 only for a few weeks. 1 stint. Last few he has come on as the first rotation with rudolf. More minutes, more fitness.

Connor Tracey has been used just for minutes. Brailey hasn’t been injured and could cope with 80.

I expect sorenson to get some minutes in the next few weeks. Also expect to see woods play much less.

As for defence, I think it’s this bloke. Link from wiki but not much of a resume

@Frank Discussion would know best but I also knew Dave Howlett as a tactician.

I probably read what you said but haven't recalled. But I agree with your thoughts as well.

Anyone know about Sandercock and what he did at other clubs.

I still have an issue with our S & C guys.

We don’t have the physical power of other clubs, especially in the ruck. Plus throw in all the soft tissue training injuries

I only know he had a 40% win rate at HKR as head coach so maybe defence isn't his forte.

He was an assistant at the Knights in 2014 and Tigpies in 2016. Don't recall our those sides defended, don't know if he was defence coach and probably unfair to judge.

Except this. It's not a glowing resume

Here is my top 17 when all are fit and able.

kennedy
Katoa
Dugan
Ramien
Mulitalo
Moylan
Johnson
Hamlin - Uele
Brailey
Woods
Talakai
Graham
Rudolf

Fifita
Hunt
Wilton
Williams

no place for Townsend or Nikora in my top 17. I liked Trindall and perhaps I’d have him in the halves instead of Moylan but it’s hard to keep a $900K player out of the top 17.

Keep dreaming, Chad, Nikora will get picked every day of the week and Moyzah!! will wear the no1. Talakai gets a bench spot in front of Teig.

You do realise that up until he was in the side, and playing fullback, that we hadn't even won a game this year? He came back and got us starting to win, which we have continued without him.
Love him or hate him - the stats don’t lie. Like the hate for Dugan - cops plenty but has a factor above the rest

Yes I’m aware of that but the team has moved to a different level, ie the performance against the Broncos. I just think he doesn’t fit. Like Chad doesn’t fit. The team looked very complete and confident. Most (8 or 9) of them played in the successful Jets side and have that player knowledge. Notice not many dropped balls last night.

pphhttt

If Chad and Moyzah are in against the Broncos we win by 60 points.

Defence - points conceded. 13 with Moylan at fullback. 30 without him. Game at 5/8 not considered

That's why he plays fullback. No brainer
