The vibe I gathered, from what little Mooks said about the captaincy, was that Hoffman was absolutely the right man for the job whereas Mannering is a fine support act.

Although Dunedin's more than a bit rugby-mad the atmosphere should be fantastic in that indoor thing they replaced Carisbrook with! Only indoor venue in NRL history alongside Docklands in Melbourne, right?
