So Round 5 could see both Matulino and Foran return, that's a formidable addition to our side. Would they both walk into every NRL side too?

I'm concerned with both Cappy and Kearney's attitude towards Sipley. They don't seem keen, this year and last.

I wish I watched all the reserve grade games (don't really have time) to keep an eye on Sipley. McFudd had such a golden opportunity to blood him but f**ked it up trying to save his job. Kearney could've received an 8-10 gamer rather than a 2 game (I'd guess around 30 mins total playing time) who may as well not have bothered. Regardless, there is too much plod in our front row stocks and he needs to be playing well down there and putting pressure on the rotation so stats like Gubb seven runs for 49m don't continue to happen (although gee, it looked there were some horrendous metres per carry stats last week)

Big day for Kearney.
Is he going to make the changes necessary and show underperforming players they meet the standards or else; or pick the same team and show he has already caved in to mediocrity?

Has it been confirmed that Foran is out???

I've only seen reports out of Sydney newspapers...

Unless I've missed something... the Warriors haven't mentioned anything official about him not being available due to injury.

I suppose we will find out this afternoon...

Why are people so excited about Sipley? I watched the reserve grade game the week before and most of the televised ones last year. Don't think he is that outstanding. Matilino on form is easily our best option. I have to admit I like watching Gubb because he plays every game out of his skin and can never be blamed for not having a go. If everyone played with that intensity and effort (similarly to Mannering) then we'd win every game by 50 points. But of course, there are some forum members who think Mannering is useless (LOL to that).

Foran unlikely this week, but a possibility according to SK. Be hard pressed to drop Ata on his game last week. Improved a lot.

Excited not the right word for my interest in Sipley, I'm intrigued by the development (or lack thereof) of a guy who seems to have some of the attributes we sorely need in a prop. Of course he's not outstanding...he's never been given the chance to be. Now that Kearney is there, someone who's been at the Storm and coached their outstanding pack - and was a 200+ NRL forward himself - I expect that someone like Sipley is developed and given the opportunity to be that hard-hitting, go-forward prop that Ben in form apart, we don't have.

Honestly, I still don't get the 'Gubb has a go' stuff. So did Paul Atkins. He runs like he's half bred by a snail and a sloth. Good on him for enthusiasm but when you don't have the ability to make it count, it's only in a truly dire team that it matters how hard you try.

we asked if he had balls and he is showing it at least. Hope that kicks Tui into gear but if history is a marker, it probably won't

Interestingly, the extended bench goes 18, 20, 21, 22 - was Foran 19 before they chose (must be last minute) not to include him at all?

Probably because in 32 minutes last year he broke 6 times as many tackles as Gubb has managed in almost 80 so far this year. And we have a serious tackle break problem in the middle (worst in the comp so far, by a fair way). Just a bloody strong ball runner.

Didn't they retire the no. 19 jersey in honour of the Mad Butcher or something similar? Or am I just having my usual March bad dreams about the Warriors.

I guess he's given Tui a fair shot and now that he's a proven failure he's moving on.

At least I hope so.

Ayshford in for Maumalo with Fus to the wing would make that team much stronger.

I like the idea of Fus at centre but it's become apparent that we need at least one quick dynamic winger.
