f**k of course, RFM dropped. For Sione Lousi.

You can't make this shit up. Kid absolutely slays it in a losing effort v a big Roosters pack, and is dropped about 4 games later with no real sign of it happening.

If nothing else, Cappy is keeping everyone on their toes. About 9/10ths of our squad has either been dropped or shifted position this year.

still waiting for Le Chad to experience this.

Seriously though what an uninspiring team selection, I would be very very surprised if we didn't get thrashed. Oh well onto next year I suppose

The stress is over for now, we should just sit back and enjoy (hopefully) three good games of footy.

It's a long off-season remember, and a lot of us here (me included) clock off the forum during the summer.

I'm following the game on Saturday, and will appreciate the clear air without the All Blacks getting all the attention. Hopefully, the worst is over (v Dragons).

In punishment for my behavior on this forum this year I will be going to the game. I have a friend coming up who is a mad cowboys supporter. This will be torture of the highest degree as he loves it when the warriors play bad. First time in my life I have not wanted to go to a Warriors game - all time low

On the bright side Cappy has named Wright, Townsend, Peyroux and Lousi in the starting side so I expect Thurston, Morgan, Coote and Taumalolo will be terrified to run the ball at us and it will be quite a tatical chess match!

In case you have not heard, Manu Vatuvei is out for the rest of the season -

Surgery rules Manu Vatuvei out until 2016
Wednesday 19 Aug 2015 11:43 a.m.

Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei won't return to rugby league until next year after having surgery on his shoulder.

The 29-year-old will need five months to recover, ruling him out of the rest of the NRL season and the Kiwis end of year tour.

Vatuvei made 15 appearances for the Warriors this year before injuring his shoulder in June. He returned for the game against the St George-Illawarra Dragons where he re-injured his shoulder and has not appeared since.

The 10th-placed Warriors have been hit hard late in the season with injuries to Ryan Hoffman, Bodene Thompson and a season-ending injury for star playmaker Shaun Johnson.

At this stage in his career I have no issue with Manu taking a few months spell to get it right, and recover generally.

I will watch this game, if only to confirm that McFadden is clueless.

Matulino is out for the season on a shoulder charge, and now these three escape suspension completely! The penalties are changing drastically week to week. Utterly ridiculous behaviour by the match review committee.

Our best forward was suspended for a game with our season on the line. That's a fact.

And now these guys are off scot free.

Time to get the pitchforks and torches!

Seriously, as Willie Mason said, these rules need to be sorted out at the start of the season, it's practical, fair, commonsense.

The incompetence of the NRL in this regard has been rather spectacular - they've done everything except the thing that IMO is most important - BE CONSISTENT

Mason and Matulino should have challenged, I think Matulino was always in trouble with his though, has been the worst of the lot

The match review committee are a joke, thankfully the ex players at the judiciary applied some common sense and saw that none of those were even close to worthy of a week off

Townsend to be replaced by Lino??

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league...-mason-lino-for-warriors-game-against-cowboys

Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing...

Common sense has prevailed. Also good to see Lino got another contract, he has been impressive for the NSWarriors.. I imagine he'll be in the discussion when the NSW cup team of the year is announced (though fairly unlikely to get the nod).

Seriously though- how could it be a bad thing? What's the downside? Because there's no upside whatsoever in continuing to play the Chad.

I'm glad he has his chance! and a new contract
Been in his corner for a long time.

I wouldn't mind if Lino took over the 6 jersey for rest of the season now to be completley honest. This season is dead in the water, Townsend has checked out(probably not the case, maybe trying far too hard as the media have us believe) - Give him some time out on the paddock
