He's not a first grader.

He's a 'winger we have around'

My point is that this is how low our stocks of available wingers are right now. Of the two playing on the wing in the ISP, one of them is Lolohea.

Probably no changes, but it should be
CNK in for Ayshford
Vete in for Lisone

Lisone and Ayshford both made errors, but responded well and ended up, on balance, playing good games.

Vete was ok in the ISP, but I wouldn't rush him in ahead of Lisone.

If CNK is coming in, it would be for one of the blokes on the other side.

CNK is the Ken replacement waiting to happen, given he plays left wing in ISP yes? Ken hasn't done enough to get dropped. I wouldn't say he's been incredible either but the Dogs game was his worst, he survived it and hasn't been bad since.

I wouldn't be dropping Lisone or Ayshford. Lisone needs to be told in no uncertain terms that the NRL standard is his second half not his first, and if he put in a defensive effort like the first he'll be dropped. Ayshford, again he was poor 1st half but not on effort. Hopefully will improve.

I'd love to see Sipley in for Bodene.

I too would like to see CNK get a chance. I'd play him on the right wing, put Fusitua back to centre & leave out Ayshford. Couple of bad misses on defence from Ayshford & while he was better in the 2nd half, I feel that if the ball went to Fusitua in a couple of cases (instead of Ayshford) then we actually score.

Fus and Aysh swapped back to their proper roles in the second half and we immediately looked better.

Fus is a winger, end of. If we being in CNK he swaps out Maumalo, Ayshford needs to be persevered with

Yep - Fusitua should be on the wing, or fullback as cover imo. Ayshford can do a job at centre, it's Kata's form that's more worrying. I'd drop Thompson in a heartbeat, I've never really understood why he's a regular, Mannering should be the edge backrower

But I'd like to see a steady as she goes approach to selection, to see if we can gather momentum. I have a lot of time for the Titans, but they have been hammered by injuries and that side was missing a lot of players, and then lost more - to struggle to beat them and struggle to beat Newcastle at home regardless of Foran's presence doesn't inspire me with confidence yet - plus if Foran is gone next year even if we turn out ok, where does that leave us?

With Ata. Not a bad option. Big question for me is if Foran signs elsewhere will Johnson go too?

I agree Ata is a good option, but of course if Foran is here Ata won't get much first grade - he needs to play there to develop.

Why would Foran going mean Johnson goes too? They're not a package deal, cap wise it'll be easier to retain one than both. The club should be looking to keep all four of our halves until Foran's post 2017 future is clear, if he goes this year is a mentoring year for Hingano and he becomes Shaun's long-term partner, with Lino as backup. If we somehow retain Foz then one of the others, including SJ will need to move on.
