Team v Knights

I thought the whole idea is that we want other people making more tackles.

Better offensive defenders driving people back and forcing turn overs instead of the status quo.

A more equitable tackle load would strengthen the Warriors not take away from their strength base.

It's easier to make tackles if people are running at you and not constantly running at a team mate you have to get across to back up all the time.

Guys if you dont want me to share what I get told, it is ok. I have nothing to prove, if you have better sources of information close to the team then use them instead.

Nah. We welcome all news; even if we disagree with some of it.
Waiting for your next scoop.

Obviously Hurrell is injured.

This is probably the best team we could have at the moment.
If we don't win this, well, I don't know, I'm lacking in the wit department at the moment. But we ought to win this given that side on paper!

On a side note - I'd love to see Papali'i given a run before seasons end.

I'm neither here nor there on Papalli at the moment. Big upside, but again on the weekend when we were in control and should have been grinding the game out he took it upon himself to throw a hail mary offload over the sideline.

Would like to see him get a run to see if there's anything there, but at the same time he needs to make smarter decisions.

Ok, there is a possibility there may be two Hoffman's at the Warriors next year.

Hmmm, does that suggest something is afoot with Tomkins? Hoffman is hopeless at 5/8, a waste on the wing, or are they thinking centre?

Interesting changes - tbh they should have lost on the w/e, and McFadden has seen it that way - I think perhaps Friend and Ihikahifo are both tired - the former because of workload and the latter simply because he's yet to become accustomed to the workload.

Not sure TL offers a great difference at 9, but happy to be proven wrong...

Its not for No1 or No6 , Tomkins is happy and staying and Townsend has earned the 6 jersey also.

If we get him it would have to be centre/wing. I think he played his best football for the broncos at centre. If McFadden picked him up My pick is he would line up there with fusitua/laumape at wing. I think it is also dependent on Neilsen getting a release as well with Raiders, Souths and Sharks interested.

should be a thread of members' "inside scoops" so we can rate how many of them are full of shite (keep a tally on each supposed 'insider'). I remember a guy adament about his 'inside scoop' on Mannering signing to the Panthers (trying to become a forum superstar with his chat but obviously just made it up based on an article saying Mannering talking to Clearly about Warrior woes). Gotta hold people accountable!

and here we are, where Iron Lion always seems to end up. Out of the heart's abundance, eh?

If we are chasing JHoff, and i hope we're not, surely it could only be as a winger.

Hoffmans good enough to go anywhere in the outside backs and do a good job.

As a wing he is a beast....certainly tore us apart at Mt Smart last year.

At center he has that ball playing basic competence that's ahead of any of our centers in that specific skill set.

For people who are not fans of our current fullback Hoffman is consistent and runs the ball back on another lever to Tomkins....if kick returns and defence is how you rate the thing the Warriors need most at the back then he's your guy.

I wouldn't care where they played Hoffman if they signed him ( outside back not talking halves ).

What great signing that would be.

really not so sure about this. imo he's terrible at passing before the line, or offloading in the tackle. his first instinct is always to hold the ball, so he'll often destroy any overlap or 1 on 1 advantage by the time he realizes he needs to pass.
