Team v Knights

To me Hoffman's ball playing issues are when he has to make a decision more than the basic ability to execute. At centre with a two on one I'd like to think he'd be able to execute that sort of no brainer decision.

I'd swap him for Neilsen that's for damn sure, but I don't see us getting him if another team offers him a fullback spot. That's where he really wants to play.

Surely the Dogs and their bottomless pit of money are favourites to land him.

Would be a nice pick-up though, start him in the centres and move him back if/when Tomkins goes (if required)

I really like Josh Hoffman.

What i like the most was when he pledged to the Kiwis despite growing up in Aussie. Turned his back on an Origin jersey and everything to honour his heritage. Usually speaks volumes about a person that kind of attitude.

any bling should go for a Kasiano!.... Fafita schooled us even with a broken arm!

Really? schooled us?
He got 105m off 15 runs and made 30 odd tackles half of which were flops. A couple of errors and a couple of penalties.

Jillyman made 155m 17 runs, 28 tackles. 1 pen 1 error

really not so sure about this. imo he's terrible at passing before the line, or offloading in the tackle. his first instinct is always to hold the ball, so he'll often destroy any overlap or 1 on 1 advantage by the time he realizes he needs to pass.
He's moved well past that with playing in the halves, he might still have those tendencies but I wonder how Hurrell or Laumape would have coped playing five eight,

Hoffmans a poormans five eight, he has surprised a lot of people that he did a job for them for so many games.

A poor mans five eight is up there with the better passing centers in the game.

 there has been a wee touch of that too....to be fair....

Boy don't they hate him at fullback ? they go bonkers over Hoffaman at the back.

Spoilt to some degree, they've enjoyed some superstars of the game in their history playing at the back for the Broncos.

He's been a mixed bag at five eight to be sure. I notice though....much like us....Broncos Hq are slow to acknowledge anything good Hoffman does ( when I've seen him be the difference in some of their games ).

well played by Cappy RE Tommy and Friend. Not sure what to expect of this game, Knights aren't as bad as their position on the table

Stats don't show the impact in this case TBH. He was attracting 4 and 5 blokes into most tackles and still he stood in most of them. A decent half back would have loved to have worked off the back of that.

It would have been worse if he hadn't got injured. Frankly, I think they had a good chance of winning if he stayed on.

So would you say Manu schools every team, everytime he plays?

What i was getting at was he didnt school us. He still managed 40 odd mins and didnt exactly humiliate us.They had a good chance of beating us without him, they probably wouldve if he didnt break his arm and stayed on. Fifita can play alot better than he was on sunday.

He played pretty stupidly IMO.

not many play with a broken arm!..
half the time Fafita was standing with about 3 Warriors on him waiting for a runner, didn't see any of ours even near that imo

Fair dinks?

He was schooling us. None of our blokes could bring him to ground. A hooker or a half back with half an ounce of skill would have split us open like Jim split open American Pie off the back of Fafita.

Without a doubt he was the premier forward in that game until his broken arm, and, I dare say easily the forward most capable of going on a rampage and winning that game on their own.

In terms of 40 odd minutes, 10-15 minutes of that was with a broken arm.

I agree with zoidberg, he wasn't schooling us. He had a ripper game no doubt though but has played a lot better than that before.playing with a broken arm was pretty tough.

Would love a big bopper prop and there is one due to be available in January/February with hopefully a new attitude. Any takers..? I'm 30/70.

Obviously we use the term schooling/schooled in different ways. Schooled/Schooling to me is humiliating your opponent. Like the cows did to the tigs. Im not quite sure what you see schooling as.
