He probably only spent about 10 minutes at center, getting his breath back while Mannering spelled him on the edge. Spent 5 of those minutes on the wing.
interesting suggestion.
Smart move if that's the case. He must be on a very small list of his Ilk to be called upon to do the 75 minutes.

Not too many inexperienced big men get that in this stage of their career.

Bit of a legend.

I was home from work looking after my sick boy and Fox were playing a stack of classic matches and that was one of them?recorded it and when the little man was having his afternoon sleep?kicked back to watch it.

Its quite good watching a Warriors match you KNOW they are going to win?completely stress free?haha

I hope your kid woke up and told you he felt better.

That would make for a pretty good winter's Tuesday afternoon.

Nineteen years of the Warriors, that's a hell of a long time not to have won a premiership. We've always had the talent to.

2005 appeared to be another wasted season, then we had the debacle of starting the following season minus four points, which was the exact deficit we missed the finals by.

2007 and 2008 were good years though, real highlights.

Sione Faumuina would have been in the mix too? There weren't too many backward steps with our Sione.

IIRC that was the game that Sione powered over the line by himself with 4 or 5 defenders on him just before half time.

No offense to Friend, he's been solid enough, but have been waiting for this moment for the last season or so. I think its a good decision by McFadden to see if Leuluai gives us that boost before the finals.

I question if Leuluai will add much more than Friend, but hey here's our chance to find out
I think its worth a shot too

It is a chance to find out, I am happy about that. I will be happier knowing that that Cappy has dropped one of the mainstays for a couple weeks of mediocracy. Friend being a champion, will take this and improve.

Should have Bukuya or Mateo at 13 and Mannering stay on the edges - he has been wreaking havok out on the left this year, running some awesome lines. I guess thats going to me Matulino's job this week - but I would stick him out on the right.

I reckon he will add plenty, better service, choice and hopefully will kick from dummy half.

Friend will turn out good fresh, adding line speed. TL the start and end but.

Bukuya starting. Interested in Iron Lions reaction. <grabs popcorn>

What do you expect me to say ?

Bukuya got a word to and was dropped - it happened
Rapira got a word to and his performances have picked up
I said Friends delivery from dummy half was poor and he has been dropped to the bench.

I think I have been fairly accurate so far.

It is up to Bukuya to put in a top performance this weekend for the money the Warriors are paying him. If he doesn't then he will be out of the side again. Its going to be out of him or Ikahihifo for that slot next year and the money so far has been on Ikahihfo.

TL was supposed to lead the hooking choices a long ways back.

The injury changed all that. Interesting to see the plan coming to fruition.

There is little difference however in TL starting ahead of Friend apart from a symbolic changing of the guard and something for fans to chew over....otherwise as things stand both Hookers are quite close in their playing style and relative improvement to the team is ( at this stage anyway ) not affected by two players swaping minutes of a similar Ilk.

Little differences is what people are looking for some are hoping for large change.

In time when Leuluai is fully fit it might be a different story.

Very happy with this team, and to see TL get a shot a hooker as well. With Johnson back we are only really down Hurrell on our top team, so really good. This will be a tough game, but the Sharkies game will really help us - hopefully we come out with a point to prove after a very flat performance. A game like that should have us bouncing back like a loss would, but without having to actually lose thankfully.

Going to go along to this one as well, should be good. Will be a big weekend - going to the Eels game Friday night with some Eels mates, going to Bledisloe on Saturday, then up to Newcastle on Sunday for the Warriors game. See if I get sick of live sports after that.

Given injuries this is a great team, next week hopefully Hurrell will be back, Henry to bench and maybe Friend out, Ikahahifo and Bakuya to vye for the last spot.

I like how Rapiras performances have 'picked up' after this supposed word pretty much based on how he got put into two gaps by great Mateo passes. His stats since returning and since this word have actually slightly decreased if anything.

Guys if you dont want me to share what I get told, it is ok. I have nothing to prove, if you have better sources of information close to the team then use them instead.

TL is a good tackler and is good one on one with bigger runners too. But some guys are gunna have to do a bit more tackling with Friend off the park.

One bad game from Friend and your off! Hard....
