From what I saw of him on the wing (where he played almost all his games) in NSW cup last year, the distance wasn't significant at all - and that was with Ken & Fus playing some pretty f'ing fantastic footy. The guy was saving tries on defence and at times seeming to break tackles almost at will.

Of course, Kearney doesn't often actually reward good play like that (see: Sao, Ligi.. etc), so when the opportunity came to give him a run on the wing he was ignored, and centre apparently never considered as an option despite... well, you know.
