Reserve grade players at sharks who become starters at Warriors. Steady they may be but they wont win you games. Lets see anyway, probably being to tough on them.

Every backline player doesnt need x factor etc...when you have Johnson, Sheck, Vatuvai and Lolohea...you can have some stock standard players who will make their tackles and pass the ball at the right time etc...Ashyford 2009-2011 was an excellent Centre...one of the best in the comp...he could come good again.

No doubting he has potential, but having to go back 5-7 years doesn't inspire confidence.

I have more faith that Ayshford will be good than Wright. Wright wasn't as bad as he was made out to be by the majority on here. Sure he wasn't a superstar and didn't stand out but he wasn't brought here for that either.

I don't mind Wright either, but would rather have Kata on the wing ahead of him if Kata can't fit into the centres.

Ayshford was very good 5 years ago, yes, but has regressed steadily every year since then. One of those players that peaked early and declined quickly.

I'll reserve judgement on Ayshford, however I'm sick of hearing 'he was good in 2011'. He's done nothing but stink it up since and I'm suspect about our environment and coaching staff correcting that.

Wright, I'm okay with him being in the team. I still want him to be forced out by performances of Hurrell, Kata, Fusi etc, as I did last year - which didn't happen. He's not defensively solid but possibly more solid than those above on past performance.

He was good in 2011 isn't a great rationale for selection - but presumably McFadden has seen something... At least 2011 is a step up from a 10 min period which is about all Kata, Hurrell and Fusitua have offered so far
