Jeebus Feeney is an arm grab merchant in defence. He's really poor in that area

Absolutely now way would he make it in the back row.

Feeney looks to be slowest bloke we've had after Slowden and Dureau. However, he had some nice touches last night and looked alright in some areas. Not sure what to make of him.

If Feeney is out we might need to play Randell at 6 and Bhana as utility.
I had no issues with Randell last game. I thought he played well.

I don't see it.

Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Jaelen Feeney will never be solid first graders.

Feeney looks nervous and awkward in attack. Does ok in D

Fitzgibbon just looks like total shit with and without the ball.

The nerves would be mostly inexperience (They each have all of 4 games under their belt)...

Im not predicting they will become superstars, or even regular starters; for the right money, they can be our fringe NRL/Superstar NSW Cup players. If they get big offers elsewhere i dont want Brown competing, but assuming they dont, they would be decent value in the lower end of the top 25.

Feeney has showed spark as a runner, but looks unreliable as a ballplayer/organiser. So have him gain some weight and let him compete for a backrow spot (dont just give it to him, but he could be decent with a chance)...

Feeney slow and a potential edge forward?

It's 1st of June, not April.

I was thinking the same thing when reading the comments. He's one of the quickest at the club and is a pretty crappy defender, Parra's first 2 tries were due to his poor defence.

He aint quick fellas. Please show me a clip of this well hidden speed machine you talk about.

He must save it for the training paddock.

I've not seen him live or in NSW Cup etc but if you guys have seen his blinding pace then I'll take your word for it and wait to see it.

I've seen it a fair bit at NSW Cup level. He has a number of problems in his game but speed isn't one of them.

"haven't seen him play, but I know he's not quick"

Nsw cup finals run last year he was our best player and looked faster than supposed speedster Mamo.

The win against mounties when he scored a hat trick would be a good start.

If he can put on some weight, Feeney would make a decent backrower

You two having a competition?

Oh ffs you two flogs. I've obviously watched his NRL games and he's slow. I happily pointed out I've not seen him play reserves. Happy to cop flak if that's the punishment for avoiding having to watch NSW Cup.

So, for those who are avid fans and long time viewers of Feeney' s career, you are all convinced he's an absolute speedster? ??? YES or NO.

'looked faster than Mamo'.

Now that has me convinced.

And of course Mamo is an absolute flying machine hey??? I can't say I've seen enough of that in his NRL games either.

Uate used to be rated exceptionally quick too. There's a lot of blokes he wouldn't worry. A lot.

These blokes just don't have the pace of the backs at other clubs.

And your opinion of the speedster Feeney is?????

Up there with the quicker halves and backs in the comp or average?

You've mentioned he's almost the quickest at the club. I don't think we're blessed with blinding speed at our joint unfortunately.

I can only assume Spot On is talking about acceleration rather than top end speed

He is fast when he gets into space. One of those guys that isnt explosive off the mark but will really motor once in the clear

That's a pretty good description. I'd say he's deceptively quick kind of like a younger less injury f**ked Mullen sans the kicking, passing and tackling ability.

Correct. He is very slow off the mark. Even at top speed I don't think he's a shade on the quicker blokes.
He looked awfully slow when returning from fullback the first few rounds and he looked to be well off the pace Monday night.

All that aside, he had some nice touches with the footy but is extreme tackle shy. And that's putting it nicely.
