a) I've heard that Seymour himself said he picked up an eye injury. I've also heard that Berrigan has said he's been battling the flu, so who knows!

b) Ah yes, I do recall that being mentioned in retrospect. However, the thread that sparked debate over there starts with: "just saw on shaun johnsons brother's facebook . joe was congratulating his brother for being named to play his debut game this weekend this is so exciting this could be one of the most eagerly awaited debuts in the clubs history".

c) I just responded to this in b). :)

This is fun. :D
a) you can't convict me on hear-say
b) damn it, knew I should have checked the thread starter before trying that angle; I thought that may have been the case haha.
c) ....

My above post (based on hear-say again but at least it's radio station hear-say) seems to confirm he is indeed playing. Wicked!

Surely someone else must listen to Mai FM?

...unless of course, their source turns out to be Jesbass' rumour posting

a) Absolutely. I'll happily admit that this is hearsay.
b) ;-)
c) *cough*

Ah yes, I should come clean. My friends call me Jesbass, but my real name is Robbie Rakete, and I still call in from time to time.

The team is clearly better now with Mara coming on as the 2nd hooker rather than old ass Battler Berrigan. The benefit of Berrigan being available to play any of those positions is marginal at best because he isn't very good at any of them.

Mara isn't a kid anymore and his time is now.

Your kiddin? He's 21. Up until a few years ago, each NRL side had an under 23's, Reserves and a 1st grade side. At 23 you were considered too young and inexperienced to play first grade. Very few players went from Presidents (under 19's) to 1st grade then. Ettinghouse, Fitler, maybe Daily. Not many others.

Dunno how old you are, but 21 year olds are still kids in any 1st grade team I've ever been involved in. You can have one or two but need a lot of older heads around them.

When i heard about this on the Vodafone Warriors Fan Forum, i was stunned. I mean, i'm glad that both Rapira and Johnson are debuting. I don't expect much from them. Although, i am expecting both of them to carve it up. Rapira will be performing solid, due to his brutal defence. Johnson will create a few plays and maybe even set up a try. Well, that's what i think will happen.

It is pretty exciting. SJ has a lot of potential and will be very interesting how he goes. Rapira has first grade experience already so he'll be right. The depth there is a great strength for this team. Finally we might see the club fulfil its potential.

Manu better improve or really, he'll be looking over his shoulder.

Any word on whether the Fish will be back against the Roosters? Or more likely to play NSW Cup this weekend?
