Yeah, but that surely has to do with the comparative effectiveness of starting Mateo versus bringing him off the bench. I am convinced he is better coming off the bench.

Can get behind the idea of Mateo coming off the bench, can't get behind the idea of Rapira being one of our starting second rowers. Sooner see them bring up Palavi and put him in there if they weren't going to start with Henry or Ikahihifo.

If Godinet drops off that bench i'll be mighty pissed. I hope he comes on with 10-15 to play in the first half and stays on for most/all of the second half.

Don't mind Martel off the bench as an impact player, but really annoyed that Taylor still gets the #9.

Tupou, heaven help us, Mateo from the bench is ok, would of been better if Taylor had gone to second row and Godinet to hooker.

Mateo's come off the bench before and its worked well. I don't have an issue with the team. Would have liked to have seen Mara in there, but so be it. I think we'll be better for the run.

Elliot must be saying, ok that was just bad dream, season actually starts this saturday...but why why why Toupou????....and Steve Rapira starting???? Rooster normally start hard and fast...Rapira has nowhere to hide.

I prefer mateo starting on the bench but Henry should be in the second row and rapira should be playing for the vulcans. I can't understand why Taylor is still playing hooker it hasn't worked give mara a go. Is it to early to be calling for the coach to be sacked shane Flanagan might be looking for a job.

Well looking at the team not much was changed from last week, except injury cover and a positional switch or two. So after Elliot said there were three or so players not putting a full 80 minute effort in my guess is we are back to the situation of no one to replace them? Or is it last chance's this week before some gets replaced?
I do realise its early days yet and we usually lose a few early on in the season but I'm getting the feeling this is 2012 all over again.

Honestly unsure about Ben Henry as a first grade backrower until he puts on some more beef.

A few more KG's and he will be sweet I reckon.
