He's waiting for a coach to be named. He wants to know who the new coach will be for any Club he signs for.

True or not, I have enjoyed this thread so much.....together with the win it made my weekend.
I have been secretly hoping that Tedesco was being chased.
In particular going to the Tigers' forum and reading their comments on Saturday night when this rumour started.
Having Dugan and Tedesco in the team makes our backline so much more potent....if only it would come true.

Interestingly, Tedesco has been linked with a number of different NRL clubs up to a value of 1.2mil with some seeing value in that sort of coin and with the numbers he produces and his age, why not. Duges is a good defensive fullback but he has been only linked to us and French rugby with his asking price of 1 mil being scoffed at by all and sundry. We should not be suckered into paying overs.

It would be nice to have both Dugan and Tedesco however, I doubt we could fit both under our cap. The most important thing to remember is that that the big coin should go to players in our spine. Widdop still remains unsigned.

Don't forget there will be an increased cap in place.
Guessing the values of some of these players, I think it is possible.
There are a few players that could be let go and, bringing in a back means there should be one less of the current players retained.
I think that a Dragons team with both Dugan and Tedesco looks much better than a Dragons team with Dugan and Widdop.
I prefer Widdop is retained if possible, but with Field and Mann around, there are options.
Whatever leads to the strongest Dragons team is the path to be followed.
We have had too many tough years since 2010 to be hesitant about putting together a serious premiership contender.

Absolutely mate. Great post. Especially the bolded bit.

We need to look at the big picture and think about what's best for the team long term and what COMBINATIONS will take us forward and win a comp.

We threw Duges, Widdop, Benji and Rein who on paper looked pretty handy. But together as a spine, well I think we've seen enough games to see how well they combined. Was a f##king disaster.

People get too caught up on individuals.I couldn't give 2 shits if someone had great stats and made rep teams every year. If that was the measure of success, Paul Gallen would be an Immortal. It took the injection of 4-5 key players for him to finally win a comp.

We have the seeds with Ben Hunt and multitude of young backs coming through as well as nasty forward pack. Someone with a clue just needs to put the rest of the pieces together.

Had lunch with a mate who is mates with one of the bulldogs directors sons.
(I know it sounds like my mates sisters husbands sisters mother in laws postie) lol but its not that bad.
He reckons this bulldogs directors son revealed over a few drinks that the dogs have put a big offer for 3 of the big 4.... all except woods.
My mate says this guy said Hoppa, Lichaa and reynolds wont be resigned.
Apparently hoppa is on a total of 850k a year (With TPAs)?
They are also looking at trying to off load the Morris boys... BOTH.
I wont vouch for this... as even though i know my mate knows a directors son, i didnt hear it myself and my mate is pretty pissed and dirty about how the dogs are travelling.
The offer to the 3 puts tedesco on a million... brooks on 750k and moses on 850k.
Just passing on what i heard today, through the grape vine as they say, dont shoot the messenger.

Our centres let us down in the opposition 20.
After all they are supposed to do something and the FB is just the cream on top.
Because our centres don't do anything but bullock their way forward Dugan is therefore the go to man and predictable.
Small glimpse of something from Lafai tonight and if that happened more often on both sides of the field Dugan would be far more potent.

Balmain big 4
Barnes, Pearce, Elias, Farrah
3 of them won't cost 2 million and the Dogs don't need 2 hookers.
Brookes and Moses are pedestrian and no better than what the Dog's already have.
Looking at what Dogs have in the cupboard re backs they would be mad to let B Moz go for another year or so.
Dogs need to do something in the pigs well before their backs.
Graham is a ball hog like Gallen, Eastwood past it and Kasiano not as punishing as last year and Klemmer MIA.
The Dogs forwards aren't giving the backs too much to work with.

I would not Disount this, and I think some of those players are on borrowed time. But also heard Broncos looking to snatch Brooks for next year. Tigers are in trouble and Bulldogs not far behind them...

Not that I really give a toss, but I reckon their problem is their halves.

Mbye is a myth.

4 decent games when he first debuted then zip.

Reynolds, well his deficiencies are both well known and well document in this forum.

Teddy was driving a new Landrover (part of his sponsorship at West Tigers) up until a couple of weeks ago. He was spotted in Concord last week driving a Jeep!!! (Dragons major sponsor)..what does this mean???

Wow if true, no wonder they are a basket case. Spend that sort of coin on a key spine player with not a creative bone in his body. Same can be said for the rest of their clueless spine.

When I was watching the rabble that was our spine last year fumble and bumble around, I seriously thought no team could possibly get any worse.

Well the Dogs have now taken the cake. Couldn't have happened to a better team.
