Shapo will be pretty miserable after today. Nadal was there for the taking and he spilled it. Nadal is a huge chance if his body holds up, he hasn't hit any bad match ups.

You'd think Nadal is a shoe-in for the final now but unless Med chokes I can't see Nadal winning it. I think I'm going to have to suffer through another Aus open final loss for him.

It's kinda funny...he's bringing his worst AO form towards the final, but I think he could pull it off. There's no one of the calibre of player that's beaten him here before, i.e. Federer, Djokovic, Thiem, Stan, etc. His draw evaporated like USO 2017 & 2019 and he made the most of those. Mannarino, Shapo and Berrettini is one he'd bribe the AO for lol.

I agree it's Med's to lose, but have a funny feeling he won't win it.

Im not a huge fan of sportspeople getting the "Australian of the Year" award (One particular sportsperson who won it is a bit of a headshaker) but Dylan Alcott is bloody well deserving of that award. Super positive bloke who has achieved plenty as well as inspiring others to be better. Excellent choice!

What's with the random crowd hate for Medvedev out there? Some shit stuff already, calling out during points etc.

He's a bit boring but that's about it, seems like a weird guy to target even if he did have a slight go at them (rightly) after the Kyrgios match

Typical bogan Vic-tards I guess

Well, Nadal looking like a big favourite now. Med looks cooked & Felix playing well.
I wouldn't put that in the bank yet. It is the most open grand slam I can remember in a very long time. The greek bloke, Medvedev, Felix and the Italian bloke have some great claims as well. If it was played on clay, I'd bank on Nadal at this stage.

Sad for the Canadian. Played well, just doesn't have what it takes in the big moments yet. Dude is only 21 anyway.

If Nadal has recovered by the time of the semi, I still think it will be Medvedev winning over Nadal in the final.

Maybe Tsitsipas can upset him. They do have some history. Tbh I think Tsitsipas would beat Nadal too, like last year.

That one ended up as a classic. Amazingly clutch from Med and unlucky for Felix, he played exceptionally well.

Med’s been tested the past two rounds, question is if he has the fitness. He matches up well against Tsitsipas but he hasn’t looked comfortable for a while.

Not all great sportspeople get the end they wanted....but a massive congratulations on a great career for Dylan Alcott. Huge week may well have took its toll on him but it doesn't take away the fact that he is a fantastic Australian. Well done to Schroeder as well for a great display. Two great blokes doing themselves proud.

I know Barty is number one and all....but I've never seen her as dominant as I have in this Australian Open. It feels like a bit of destiny to win this one.

Geez Barty looks like she means business....last match she looked in second gear for the first set, tonight she's been brutal so far.

16 minutes and up 2 breaks
