I'd like to say Djokovic is broken... but he'll prob win 3/4 Grand Slams next year.

happy that Wawrinka won, having 3 walkovers is a joke. no surprises that when djok was under the pump he used his medical timeouts... good gamesmanship but call it for what it is rather than ignoring it

Sam Stosur out again in the first round of the Brisbane open but it is the best I have seen her play in years, she lost 5-7, 7-6, 5-7 to French Open winner world No.7 Garbine Muguruza, what was frustrating was Sam having set points in the first set then up a break in the third.

For once, no insult to lose to Mugururza. Stosur should be encouraged by that.

It should be an interesting Australian Open. For the first time in a long time, the men's doesn't look an automatic win to one of the top guys although Murray must be favourite.

It will be interesting to see how Kyrgios responds to his suspension and bad press. I am really feeling a top 10 push for him this year and I can see a breakout win at the Australian Open against the likes of Nadal, Federer, Wawrinka etc. depending on the draw.

Probably not quite ready to take down the top 2 or win a slam just yet though.

I don't see things your way at all.....Novak or Murray for the win......the rest are behind. As for Kyrgios, that loss against Sock spoke volumes for where he is at. I can see a round 3-4 exit for him. I don't question his ability...I question his toughness and maturity.

5 out of the 8 Aussies got through today.

Wawrinka came back in the fifth set from a break down to win against world number 34.

Aussie Jaimee Fourlis who is currently ranked 1037 also made it through to the next round. Outside the top 1000 and makes it to round 2 - she's $80,000 richer just like that.

I don't really think it was a choke. Everyone expects Stosur to lose first round these days. Everyone except her that is!
