For once, no insult to lose to Mugururza. Stosur should be encouraged by that.Sam Stosur out again in the first round of the Brisbane open but it is the best I have seen her play in years, she lost 5-7, 7-6, 5-7 to French Open winner world No.7 Garbine Muguruza, what was frustrating was Sam having set points in the first set then up a break in the third.
It should be an interesting Australian Open. For the first time in a long time, the men's doesn't look an automatic win to one of the top guys although Murray must be favourite.
It will be interesting to see how Kyrgios responds to his suspension and bad press. I am really feeling a top 10 push for him this year and I can see a breakout win at the Australian Open against the likes of Nadal, Federer, Wawrinka etc. depending on the draw.
Probably not quite ready to take down the top 2 or win a slam just yet though.
