Test squad for India?

MMarsh is a lock for mine.

He averaged 30 in the series loss to SL and 41.00 in the series lost in the UAE to Pakistan.

Seems to bat better in those conditions than anywhere else. His bowling as the 3rd seamer will be crucial, as im pretty sure we play SOK and Lyon in every test (injury pending)

SMarsh has to be there if we are serious about competing with India. His record on the sub continent is probably the best of all our bats, or close to it

From afar, it would appear Nevill is the safer option with the gloves although experts have noted Wade’s improvement in this facet in recent times.

The lack of runs from both players has been highlighted ad nauseam, while Wade’s ability to get under the opposition’s skin may also be a factor in oppressive Indian conditions.

Can someone tweet the guy who wrote this article and tell him he's talking f**king rubbish and perpetuating myths.

I think we should go batsmen 1 to 6 a keeper at 7, 3 quicks and whatever spinner performed in whatever shameful warm-ups they have.

It's not like our pace attack is not used to bowling on flat wickets.

The most successful foreign bowlers in India are quicks. Indians love gobbling up mediocre spin. England took some Indian specialists and they all got dicked.

Shameful warm ups? Lol the irony

Agree though, go with the quicks and find some quality at 6 and 7 and you never know

If the GOAT exerts himself he can even get his darts up to maybe 110-115km/h which is about Siddle pace so he could be our spinner and quick all in one!

4 pace pace bowlers and an all-rounder,zero spinners.

Spot on, even Warne got belted there, but the quicks do well.

I'd even have S Marsh at 6. He's better than the donkeys already tried. But M Marsh will probably be picked, which is a lot better than the donkeys already tried there. But i reckon, back home especially, S Marsh could really make a go of it at 6.

I think you gotta have a spinner so the quicks don't die, but yeah I'd be playing three quicks probably.

Starc and Hazelwood can potentially be very effective on Indian tracks. Starc reverses it as well as anyone which is a big factor in India. And with variable bounce a guy like Haze who digs it into the wicket can cause mayhem.

Smarsh plays spin reasonably well. So he should definitely be at six

3 quicks a spinner and an all rounder spinner would be ideal but cant be Lyon and Maxwell they spin the ball thr same way. Too much to ask for

How about we just play 11 batsmen and go for a nil all draw. Open the bowling with Wade and Cartwright. India would love to see that kind of cricket

The problem with that is Ashwin and the Earl of Rajkot Ravi Jadeja would still roll us for about 120....

when's the last time Faulkner ever played a test match ?

he's more a white ball player and Wade's keeping would be terrible on Indian pitches, we need to take our strongest team

Mark waugh floated the idea of playing m marsh and dropping haze or starc so he could have even more spin options.

They've picked Wade, Maxwell and both Marshes. This factored with the fact we don't have any quality spin options amounts to a 4-0 raping. It's gonna be a bloodbath.
