Absolutely spot on. I'm same here with work and an 8 month old and the misses is 15 weeks pregnant lol.

My kids are a similar age difference as yours will be. Turning 7 and 8 this December... In 7 years I havent figured out how to stop them fighting or get them to listen. Fun times.

But I am glad they're close in age. My youngest boy plays up an age group with his brother... And the constant fighting and hurting each other has toughened them up. They can get absolutely smashed by bigger kids (every kid is bigger than them) and jump up without a care in the world.

Most of their schooling will be done together until one goes to high school. Making school pickup easier. I feel for all the stuff that's harder theres as much or more that will be easier aswell.
