the other guy who we've never heard of was better than him, Collins is only well known because he sung for Genesis, if he only played the drums we would never have heard of him

any average teenager can play what those two guys are playing

Stick to moderating

so you think that is hard to play ?

It's not easy and there are some good things he does. Like I said the other drummer is technically a better drummer as you would expect but Phil developed an unmistakeable style and sound to the untrained ear which not to many can claim
He isnt as good as he was 25 years ago nonetheless he was a pretty good drummer
If jarryd hayne was a drummer then Phil is a Matt Bowen
Good but not the best

fair enough, I thought they were both average, not bad though its just that anyone who can play drums can play what they were playing

I played all Bonzo's stuff and seeing Collins mutilate Zepplin songs turned me off him for good although I must admit I have Abacab on a mixed CD

Do any of you guys actually listen to good music?

about 30 or 40 live bands a year, mainly BDO and Soundwave every year, anything remotely metal

you strike me as a Nickleback groupie

Or Phil Sigsworth.
Another drummer who seems to be very under-rated is Ringo Starr. Not fancy, but had a definite style of his own and managed to hold down a job in the best band in the world.
Anybody know what records Phil Sigsworth played on, by the way?

Phil's hands and back are that buggered he had to tape his sticks to his hands in order to play the drums on his last album, that Motown one. Trooper.

Ringo was that good McCartney on the odd occasion would overdub ringos playing with his own
Btw McCartney played drums on the album band on the run along with most other instruments
