Tony told Obama that the reason he hiked the fuel excise was for environmental reasons. Cos of that climate change thing that he feels so strongly about (not the deficit disaster as explained to us).

He also describes himself as an conservationist. How cute. I think he meant conversationalist. Merkin always gets his words mixed up like that.

I would consider myself a conservationist (even an environmentalist) but I also, like Uncle Tone, think climate change is not anthropogenic.

What hell is wrong with soccer, every World Cup I sit down to watch the Aussie but it always seems the same. The Aussies look at a player, the player falls down then the ref hands out a yellow card. An Aussie is tripped , has his shirt pulled, it is play on. I am no soccer expert but gee it appears in soccer the top sides always get the favourite calls by the refs!!!

In the Aussies game today I saw several Chilean players fall over with out any contact at all and the Aussies were either yellow carded or they got a free kick. For a game that claims to be no. 1 in the world gee they hate using technology's to fix referring errors

Good call. The diving and carrying on at this level has reached epic proportions. It is a massive blight on the game. Way too many Prima Donnas. I love how we don't carry on like that. Well done to the Socceroos.

It's not in the Aussie psyche to take a dive. The South Americans and Europeans though........
FIFA shit me because they are so reluctant to use technology. They could stamp this shit out in a season.
They also, I believe should issue retrospective yellow/red cards for players later being found guilty of diving.

Great effort though by the Aussies this morning.

2 fun facts.

1. The Dutch have never beaten the Socceroos. We have 2 draws and a win against them.

2. Tim Cahill has more World Cup Finals goals then both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo combined.

I am no soccer fan but do watch the Aussies. Previously they bored the f**k out of me as it seemed they just tried to prevent goals. As least today it looked like they said "f**k it, let's play" which looked good especially for us not soccer fans. It was exciting!!!

C'mon Suity. Take off the green and gold glasses.

Aussies are just as capable of being cheating "win at all costs" merkins than any other nation. If we aren't trying to take advantage of the rules then we are either:

1. Poorly coached.

2. Not smart enough.

3. A combination of the above.

Which one is it?
