So something that has always made me wonder ...

How is it OK for us to copy and paste entire articles from media websites?

They are all implementing paywalls (tho currently metered), so its heading down the path of not being freely available. Yet we can copy it, in full, and make it available to masses.

I know for a fact that media companies only survive on the back of advertising revenue - if people are not visiting their pages, they get no revenue. We post links, but no one would bother clicking them if they can read the entire copied article.

I suspect (but don't know for sure) that this relates to the 'fair dealing' provisions in copyright law. If people started pasting in large proportions of a single issue of the SMH, or charging for access to this site, things would become different pretty quickly. There is also some (marginal) cross-promotion benefit to the originator.....if absolutely nobody was able to post SMH articles (or part thereof) anywhere this would limit their exposure to potential new readers/customers.

They scored off the same play a bit later on in the match though. Grothe couldn't get to that pass.

It was. I will also never forget the game earlier in the year Vs the Dogs when we beat them at ANZ. They were flying high and we came out and were too good them. Benny Roberts missed a tackle on Kingston for him to score. Fui scored a great one too.

Yes you are right, in 99 we knocked the Knights out in week 1 and had the weekend off. Didn't help us though, blowing a 10 point lead after half time against the Storm

Fui's try to seal it was memorable, after that game i had 20 on Parra to win the comp at $81. f**k you Storm :x
