Happy Birthday to one of the best blokes ever to strap on a boot...Johnny (Bomber) Peard.
He's almost 70 --- he told me this morning..Don't know if he is 69 or 71...
When I rang him he had just finished at the Gym..and was heading off for a surf.
Bomber is one of the most 'giving people' I know. He does a fantastic job for Men of League. It is amazing how he gets through so much travel and work after suffering a massive stroke many years ago.
An INSPIRATION for everyone..that's for sure ...and I am proud to be able to call him 'mate'. CHAMPION who has dealt with the cards life has handed him to the best of his advantage...

Looking online for some new running shoes. Can you actually buy a shoe that doesn't come in a crazy bright colour anymore? Don't fancy looking like a glorified member of the Wu Tang Clan on my morning jog.

Unless you have really wide feet or are looking for just a walking shoe that would be no. Having seen five ranges for five of the major brands for the mid to latter part of the year it will be still be pretty bright.

Its so true. They are fkn nuts with all the colours. Surely some merkin would think not everyone wants fluro yellow shoes.

the first company to go otherwise will rake it in cos the 50% of population who dont want fluro shoes will be desperate for em.

There are plenty of brands out there that can deliver you a shoe that will comply with a conservative old fart's fashion needs.

I currently run in mizuno or saucony and I don't have a problem finding a shoe that doesn't glow in the dark.

If current stock is still too out there, Paul's Warehouse stock shoes that are 2 or 3 years old and you'll easily find a old fashioned white with black trim there.

I thought they went broke.

Ha - yes. The old label a $60 pair of shoes as $120 and then give the customer a free pair trick. Works every time.

There is no con here. You're buying 2/3 two yr old stock for 1/4 of the original RRP. The shoes are only marginally different that the current models, so it's a no brainer for me. If you change your shoes every 500-700kms, why would you pay $240 for current Kayanos at rebel ?

the ODO broke on my shoes ... I have no idea how many km's I've done

See you would know if you had a funky GPS watch that logs your route, time, distance and then collates your stats on your PC.

As if any merkin's going to walk that far in a pair of sneakers! You need a new odometer, merkin.
