I'm guessing it's difficult to get away with just walking up to kids and assaulting them at Woolies. So these rock spiders need to operate in an environment where there's a degree of trust (however misplaced), so they congregate in all sorts of institutions that provide the necessary cover (churches, schools, family networks, Brookvale Oval).

I'd say it's easier to infiltrate a church as well because it is such an inclusive environment. Churches are always packed with freaks and losers and others who can't find a sense of community anywhere else.

I note that Ch7 switched over to 7Mate with zero planning when the podium ate into news time. Clearly there were no "technical difficulties" in doing so. Pox on Ch7,9,10 for being arseholes about the SD/HD thing. Seeing some of the race on Speed HD later on and the quality of the vision, just made me angry that $$ came before punters. There has got to be a compromise.

It's worse than that mate. It is a conspiracy orchestrated by the race organisers who only wanted viewers to have a vague idea what was going on, and thereby cover up the state of the track.Should have used the penetrometer before the start.

I love people making up their own translations of what the Koran really means. Here I was thinking the founder of a religion who set the example of violence and oppression wanted his followers to walk in his shoes.

The Koran is just like the Old Testament (the Jewish holy text) - it is chock full of calls to violence. There is no alternate translation.

Maybe they've misremembered in their grief. Or maybe you're right and someone is lying. Victims are notorious for becoming vindictive monsters themselves. The hate in everyone's heart stems from a perception of being wronged by others.

This is why Jesus' (oft ignored) message of forgiveness was so world changing. Victims really do need to 'get over it', whether there's an apology or not.

Brian Houston and everybody who knew (including the guy's mother) should go to prison for this cover up, but that's not going to unmolest the victim. Only forgiveness will heal him.

Sounds very pretty in theory. In practice it is sometimes extraordinarily difficult to do.
