I'm really very weird with my taste - it's all over the place. My preference lies with metal (Devin, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, Akercocke, Amorphis, Nile, etc.) but I also enjoy some metalcore/hardcore if it has an interesting melody to it (Killswitch, It Dies Today, The Haunted, etc.) as well as some industrial (Deathstars, etc.). Yeah, I know - nuts!

I find it an absurd idea to try and list the 5 best albums of all time....

There are simply too many great albums spanning hundreds of genres.

I gave it a crack after readng this thread and have been in deep argument with myself for the past hour.

It is impossible.

So instead I will just list the top played albums from my ipod.

1. Muse - Showbiz
2. Metallica - Master of Puppets
3. Muse (again) - Hullabaloo (disc 1) (FYI- track 10 - Hyper Chondriac Music is the mot played song on my pod)
