I noticed that AFL nuffie sitting with his back to Kent too..I thought it was pretty unprofessional, whether he hated his guts or not..

Kent is a goose, but the clown from Melbourne was even more pointless & boring than the South Australian imbecile they had on earlier in the year..

I'm a Billy fan too..I like the everyman touch he adds to the panel,& his sense of humour..

Mike is getting pretty senile nowdays though..But he was always a bit of a pain in the arse..

Yeah I watched it the other night and thought he the hell is this guy?? Offered nothing.

I dont mind Kent.

Bump.

Worse than ever (if that's possible).

I feel like I'm watching The 7pm Project...

Click.

This showed peaked in about 1999 when it had Jeff Wells, Chippy, & Fitzsimmons on it. That lineup doesn't sound crash hot but it was a good balance of lunatics and the sledging never ended.

It's the Fat, without Wilko.

With Tony Squires three wives later. And somehow more up-himself.

No thanks.

surprise surprise this shit show having another League bash

can't believe people watch this shit

put it on Fox Poofy as it's been an AFL wankfest for years

It seems like they're having an NRL player on & one of the issues they'll ask him about is the shoulder charge. How is that league bashing ? ( by the way, I only watch the show occasionally )

This show is a farce. I watch the last half hour and finch has been allowed to say one sentence, poor bloke has had to sit through an absolute afl wankfest. First time i tuned in all season, and will be the last

Finch mentions that the man utd players love their league. Queue shock from the panel that league is popular elsewhere

I ran into this show by accident a few weeks ago when they were interviewing Ellyse Perry about playing football and cricket.

I thought it was a fluff piece show on a par with the 7.30 report or a current affairs show without the bile. The questions seemed to be lowest common denominator stuff - friendly but hardly providing any insight. I could see them getting Rebecca Wilson on there to gush over the latest AFL player she fanices.

I have no desire to bump into the show again.

If I want to watch a show on a sport I would watch one tailored specifically for that sport rather than the equivalent of today tonight with tea and cookies.

Glad you're not the only one who sees the 7:30 report as being unreputable. All this praise about Leigh Sales by the Fairfax Media about how she's turned the show around etc. is crap. She looks like Gillard's long lost illegitimate sister. And yet, the left-wing ppl have the heart to say because it's government run that it's the only tv station whose news is fair and balanced.

.

Which reminds me that Bec Wilson was on Sportsnight with Mark McVeigh (or some former Essendon player) and for nearly the first half-hour of the show, it was all AFL and Bec was just creaming herself when she started talking about AFL. And how cyncial her tone of voice changed when the topic moved to shoulder charges in the NRL.

However, regarding McVeigh (and other ex-players in the media in general), it would definitely be a breath of fresh air if we had current or ex-NRL players who were as articulate as him, rather than the standard stock who appear on programs like The Footy Show who either um and ah their way through sentences, or love talking over the top of others (which is one of my biggest pet peeves watching tv shows that are in the format of a forum. Too many pannelists = less words per person = less meaningful discussion = more tendancies for them to try and 'get the last word in', so to speak)

Yep, sadly the talent pool is very shallow. The NRL runs a distant last compared to other major sporting codes in this area. Just think about the post-match interviews you hear & weigh them up.

From what I've seen / heard, the newer guys are mostly wannabe ( & unfunny ) comedians, gibberers who can't string a sentence together or robots who just give you cliches. It comes back to them having too much spare time & hanging around together. The NRL should insist there's a certain standard required. It's a win-win situation for the clubs & players who can help themselves now & in the future.

How bad is it!!!
Honestly... What have they done.
Way to Victorian orientated and so badly put together on the whole....
The old version was SO much better in every way.
Where do we send our complaints?

Watched a bit tonight. Hopeless. People will vote with their remotes. This will die a quick death.
