I've got to say i almost fell asleep watching this game (seeing your team get rolled by one of the worst teams in the comp will do that to you) but i didnt think Orford was all that bad tonight, not good but certainly not their worst. I think he tried had but the forward pack just played like fairies, not setting him any great platform to work with.

myth: –noun 1. a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.

John Sattlers' broken jaw (impacted wisdom tooth)
Bob Macarthy's prolific try scoring (one GF intercept try)
Tommy Raudonikis' raspy tough guy voice (one nut and smoker's larynx)
Summons/Provan epic great sportsmanship picture (intense rivals sticking it to each other after the game)
Artie Beetson's fearlessness (hates flying)

David Gallop's leadership (oxymoron)

Brett Finch

Ask Melbourne Fans after 3 games with him...

Well Melbourne fans what do you think? I know it's only two games, but i read an article today that your mob has scored 7 tries in the last 2 games with Finch in the team and they only 4 tries in the previous 3 games to that without him.

How do you rate his contribution to the team so far? Just from what i've seen i don't think it's any coincidence whatsoever that your attack has started to click with in the team and has been a great buy and will only get better. I'm sure there's those ready to pounce when he puts in an average game but i've no doubt you'll get much more value out of him than anything he'll cost you.

Why is this even a contest.

It should be renamed the Carl Webb award.

LOL .... listening to Grandstand last night in the car on the way home, I think Gerry Collins said at halftime "where is he, I didn't even know he was playing tonight".

Over-rated hack.

Webb has ridden on the coat-tails of that one hit on Luke Bailey in Origin four years ago. Seriously, Webb wishes he were worthy to polish Bailey's boots.

But that's Queenslanders for you, always talk their own up and over-react. :)

not sure which game you were watching but clearly in the first half Manly were winning the battle up front and looked the better side but again poor play by the halves failed to take advantage.

Manly were camped down the Melbourne end due to forward dominance in the second half, who is responsible for capitalising on something like 6 sets of six in a row? Matt Orford, that is why he gets paid the big bucks and has the c next to his name.

Orford was awful and has been all year. Even Chris Bailey outshone him with his last tackle options at least he made Slater run to catch it on the full!!

I think he is showing us why he could never make it as the blues no.7.
