Haha wow. The bunker has fallen into a heap today. Massive knock on by the Tigers somehow missed. Arguably the most obvious knock on you'll ever see.

I tipped the Tigers, but you can see why people can't trust referees in our sport. Absolutely amazing.

When I first saw it I was at the pub and was over 10metres away from the screen.

I could see it was a clear Tigers knock on just looking once.

The refs/video refs get worse every season.

He only looked at the knock on once too as far as I remember. They have obviously been directed to make decisions as quick as possible (which is definitely the biggest plus of the bunker so far imo) but if it means making horrific calls like this is it worth speeding proceedings up by less than a minute on most occasions?

Some responsibility should be on the ref too. If Tedesco gets tackled the ref would have almost definitely bought it back and made the decision on what they believed they saw.

I hate how Fox show the bunker replay. They've got the actual replay shrunken to half size and embedded in a graphic overlay (which takes up most of the screen) then a video of the player and a video of the bunker box in the bottom corners. Overall that's 6 seperate feeds of video on one shot and you end up squinting to see what's happening in the video replay

Like really do we need to see the action packed moments in the bunker of a guy playing with a keyboard

I was skeptical about it but it seems to have been a big improvement.

I thought the Tedesco 1 was a try (I must be missing something if some are adamant it was a knock-on) but if the ref's opinion was no-try, I don't think they had sufficient evidence to overturn it, when sets of hands & ball meet like that.

Was thinking the same thing.

The cynic in me says that its a way of not showing a close decision as the best angle is not highlighted & us having to take the refs word for it.

A couple of times I didn't know where to look & they've made a decision before I was convinced - not Ava's thing I suppose, as long as it's quick & accurate.

They wanted consistent decisions and quicker decisions.
They definitely have quicker decisions. No doubt.
Consistency however is another matter.
You're not going to have consistent or correct decisions when you put Luke Patten in the VR chair.

It sets the parameters for the VideoRef "I think X happened. Can you prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that i am wrong"

In particular, i think this improves the spectacle for the fan. Decision arent out of the blue, there is a very definite "Benefit of the Doubt" in place before we even see the replay

Gibbsy reckons 7 out of 8 refs calls over the first two games were overruled.

Watch the revolutions on the football. It is rolling forwards end on end. Its incredibly obvious to see its a double knock on. The ball is propelled towards the opposition line. Clearly.
