Touchy Touchy, Still the cows discipline was ordinary.Given Maxwell's performance tonight, maybe the Bunker should ref the whole game.

lolThurston should've been sin-binned for the way he questioned the ref.
What do the refs in the bunker think when they see a ref give ALL the 50/50 calls to 1 team like they have tonight in the Eels / Cowboys game?
Wasn't part of the idea with the bunker that they don't see any of the game bar what gets referred to them? No score, no clock, no penalty count, nothing. So as to remove any impact they may have on a decision? Not certain if that is how they ended up implementing it, but when it was in the theory stage that was one of the key points.
Thurston should've been sin-binned for the way he questioned the ref. He & Cameron Smith are given so much more leniency because of who they are.
Wonder why that is? Could it be because they don't continually pester the refs and only make advances when they have a plausible case
All the commentators are loving the bunker atm.
Whilst it is good to get quicker decisions, i think it takes away from the at the experience at the game.
I've been to both panther games this year.
In canberra, they have one big screen (which was at the far end from where i was sitting) and when they flash to the split screen, you can't see sh*t.
It may look ok on tv, but fox do that extra 2 screens at the bottom - which makes it 6 screens in total (the 4 replay, 1 live and 1 of some dudes the bunker office). From a distance you can't see the replay at all in the 6 screen split
I don't see the need to show a players face live or the guys in the nrl bunker. Would rather it be max 4 but preferably less given you want to see the action. Plenty of fans around me were just yelling "zoom in" lol.
anyways that is my rant. I am sure it will improve over time
I agree with this. Maybe at the ground a large screen replaying the try from one angle. Repeat from another. Show the desive angle once it's known.
I would have thought they do the opposite. Smith is always in his ear
Bullshit

Not a bad idea, but f*ck it would be a dull place between decisions....
Issue I see is at the ground coverage
Ch 9 feed gives 4 way split screen
Fox feed gives a 6 way split screen
Watching the Fox 6 way split screen at home it feels too small. But at the ground its even worse
I've noticed this watching Fox at home. They've completely f**ked up the way they broadcast the bunker. There's no need to have a camera on the tryscorer, the coach, the bench, or the crowd. And there's no need to have a big blue background taking up half the screen.
....i just imagine seeing smith wave his arms around pleading for penalties almost every set and constant discussions with officials
