Yes you could argue it's subjective. But that's the ref's call. The ref also has to make a call on bunch of other situations which could be viewed as subjective e.g. playing at the ball.

It wasn't the refs call it was thd bunkers today.
Luke Patten in a dogs game.
But I do see what you are saying.

Three things stood out in this game.
1. Leachers try. Maxwell was in no position to see if scored but sends it upstairs as a try. Bunker has no conclusive evidence to overturn on field ref and gives it a try. Didn't happen in Origin with the Morris try.
2. T Rex throws it to himself try.
3. Morris stays down when the Dragons had a 20m restart.
Bunker over rules the on field Ref and gives the dogs a penalty.
I thought you could only over rule of it was an reportable offense. Thought they were cracking down on milking.

A former Bulldogs player in the bunker claims it wasn't intentional... yet there's no way you can know what a player is thinking.

All we know for certain is he passed it forward to himself which is illegal and he gained an advantage in doing so. For an 'accident' it looked very clean. This set precedent for players to do this each week now. Could easily make it look more accidental then it did here.

He had control of the ball the entire time. So for mine you cant say he was trying to gain control. It wasnt a juggle. It was a clean throw over an opponents head.

You mean a former Bulldogs and a former Dragons player right

It's happened before. Dally Messenger was famous for deliberately throwing the ball over player's heads and regathering.

Jarryd Hayne did it in a game where he deliberately knocked the ball over the fullback's head to regather a chip kick. He was penalised.

I'm pretty sure Hayne was contesting for a ball in the air and knocked it forward. It's not like he ran at the line and threw it in the air like people are suggesting is going to start happening weekly now.

Nothing like what happened tonight

No but I was replying to someone who asked when has anyone deliberately knocked-on or thrown a forward pass.

Yeah no worries.

I'm a Dragons fan so I'm definitely not happy with the outcome - but I'm not faulting the process in this case according to 'the letter of the law'.

I just don't understand how the former CEO of a club and a former player of a club cand now be the CEO of our game and a video Ref in a game that involves his x teams he played for.

You're the only one really complaining.
Everyone else can see that under the rules it was a fair try.

Really am i the only one?

Just on the drive home Bill Harrigan, Peter Sterling and the whole MMM agreed with me. Go back a few pages and you will see others that agree with me.
I hope a call like this goes againts your team one day and i will bet you will be the first one on here complaining.

Yes, they've got their headline and click bait.

Quite easy to see what happened. move on from the media driven hysteria and have an attempt at thinking for yourself

I did and he still throws it to himself. Thought that at the game and nothing said here has changed my mind.
