Well, I guess technically they just showed a Superman/Batman logo but that indicates Bats was going to be in it.

IGN, Screenrant and IMDB all have the news today that Warner Bros has cast Batman...... it's Ben Affleck.

To be honest if it's true I agree with all the fanboy meltdowns going on everywhere.

I don't have a problem with Affleck, but I'm not sure i can see him as Batman. I'm willing to give him a fair go (like I wouldn't see this movie anyway).
Really wish Bale could've returned but

It sickens me how after growing up with DC cartoons and comics, I have to watch them f**k up their universe with these movies, especially after the good Batman movies we have just seen. The worst thing about it is how much better the MCU is.

eh, sick of the whole Batman/Superman thing already. Seems like such a gimmick to make money after Man of Steel. One CGI-filled disjointed movie about Superman's beginnings and now in the next one there's a 40 year old Batman without any set-up or foreshadowing in the original. At least Marvel does their crossovers right.

Garbage aye.. is that why they have more fans than dc, more regular film goers anticipating their next movies than whatever wb/dc are making? Why all their movies have brought home the bacon... why they are taking chances like guardians of the galaxy and dr strange where dc shat their pants after the horrible green lantern and jonah hex movies.

why marvel properties are worth more than dc. . All dc has is superman and batman. . BORING! TRY TO make a good flash or wonder woman or aqua man movie.. oh they can't.

Marvel has a plan and its working while all dc has left is the superman batman movie which is also their trump card.

DC can't even make a good Superman movie.

DC wins in comics and TV. Marvel has it all over DC in cinema now Dark Knight trilogy is over. However DC still has Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, V For Vendetta and Watchmen, all of which are better than any Marvel movie.

This DC shared cinematic universe is so far completely terrible though.

They are running off the massive dollars of their successes, pretty simple. No doubt Marvel have worked out a good formula but writing off DCs franchises is pretty silly

DC have plans but they mostly involve building the characters from TV or waiting to get the right people involved. There is no sense in just charging after Marvel because they have had a couple of box office successes lately.

Its worth noting that Im a fan of both Marvel and DC. I find it pretty pathetic that some fans of one producer have to slam the other over petty comments like "marvel is rubbish" :lol:

X Men 3 produced the highest US domestic and international gross of all three films - $459M. Sure it had the biggest budget ($210M), which is why X Men 2 was the most profitable.

X Men Origins: Wolverine was a huge financial success, pulling in $373M worldwide with a $150M budget. Even it's sequel pulled in $337M with it's $120M budget.

Daredevil - Budget $78M, worldwide gross $179M

Ghost Rider - Budget $110M, worldwide gross $228M.

Punisher - Budget $33M, worldwide gross $54M.

Elektra - Budget $43M, worldwide gross $54M.

All true bileduct, movies nearly always make money regardless of how terrible they are. Hell, even that POS Superman Returns brought in a tidy profit

I took R&BBs point as Marvels movies were all critical successes, which they clearly weren't.

Just to correct you though:
