Word hit a month or so back that Bryan Singer had been forced to cut Anna Paquin’s big scene out of “X-Men : Days of Future Past”. Most of us were quick to assume -and rightly so, considering nobody said otherwise – that that meant Rogue’s only appearance in the film had been cut.

Seems that’s not the case – and the fact she was on one of the Empire magazine covers, that released this week, should’ve tipped us off to that.

Singer, talking to Empire (via Coming Soon), says while one of Paquin’s scenes, a big action sequence, had to be cut from the movie, she’s still in the picture (if even in a lesser part).

“It does not mean that we won’t see her in the film. Also, I hope to make the sequence available on the DVD as she was quite wonderful in it. She is an important part of the X-Men family. I ‘m very pleased she will remain as one of Empire’s anniversary covers.”

Writer Simon Kinberg said the scene was cut because “We felt like it was taking tension out of the main story drive.”

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has been receiving great reviews. Alot calling it the best Marvel Studios movie. I'm seeing it sunday and also monday thanks to winning tickets from Marvel Australia.

Also here is the mid credits scene. It doesn't spoil Captain America : The Winter Soldier but it does set up The Avengers : Age of Ultron. Watch it at your own peril.

The scene looks so Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark esque with the way it's shot and creepy music.

There are also leaked photos of Quick Silver, Scarlett Witch, Hawkeye (with 2 different costumes) and one model of Ultron. . All pre cgi floating around the net.

Awwww yeah, the Avengers can get f**ked, X-Men is where it's at.

FoX-Men with their convoluted and inconsistent continuities well f**ked continuity.

Vs.

The Avengers phases which every studio which makes comic book movies want to copy now.

People are caring less for X-Men because it should have been rebooted ages ago and more for The Avengers cause they know how to actually make good movies. The proof is in the pudding or well box office returns.

I'm a big, big fan of the MCU, and think it's far and away the best comic book franchise going around.

However I don't think the xmen series is as bad as you make it. Save for two stand out duds (x3, origins: wolverine), the series has been pretty solid. I loved first class, and am super hyped for DOFP, and Apocalypse after that.

DC based movies are right at the bottom. Man of steel was a steaming pile of shit, and batman v superman won't be much better

Don't see the big deal about MCU movies. The best thing about it was the way they seamed together. Iron Man 2 and Thor were mediocre, while Incredible Hulk and Captain America were just ok. Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 weren't much either. The Avengers and Iron Man I would say are great, but aren't really top shelf in terms of comic book movies (Dark Knight, Sin City, V For Vendetta). Their treatment of the Mandarin was completely ridiculous as well.

X2 is better than all of the MCU's movies. First Class, X1 and The Wolverine were better than most of the others too.

Those behind Green Lantern, Man of Steel and the upcoming BvS crap could certainly learn a thing or two though.

The Avengers imo is the only comicbook movie that could literally be a comic book turned into a movie as opposed to a movie based on a comic book. Well I guess Watchmen too. If you get what I mean. The Dark Knight series as much as I like it are films starring occasionally Batman as opposed to Batman movies. However reading reviews Cap 2 will be sort of the same tone as Dark Knight. I think itll be a top 3 comic book movie. Guardians has potential to be something really refreshing and Ant Man could be anything.

LOL, box office returns.

Look at the box office returns for all of the Marvel films and you'll see that they don't necessarily translate to quality.

Iron Man 3? Spiderman 3? X-Men 3? All in the top 10 and they were all absolute shit.

Please

Ghost Rider
DareDevil
Elektra
Punisher : War Zone
Spiderman 3
Wolverine: Origins

All far worse than any DC movie of the last 10 years, maybe besides Green Lantern but even thats a 50/50 call.

Id like to add that I am a big fan of both DC and Marvel too before I get branded a DC fan boy.
