I fell for a prank about a live action Star Wars Netflix series.

In hindsight I think to myself how? But those few seconds were almost worth the disappointment.

Looks like I fell for a prank.

Surely the fourth paragraph would have made it crystal clear that this was a gag review:

We see some children playing with superhero action figures in a schoolyard somewhere in Washington. All the Marvel cinematic heroes are represented with some cute in-jokes as the kids put childish variations of famous Iron Man and Captain America lines into their toys? mouths. Then the kids all start bullying one boy dressed entirely in black named Zack (no coincidence). He has a pair of awkwardly-named knockoff figures called Ratman and Supersoldier that he psychotically smashes together while crying. The other kids mercilessly mock him for making heroes who should be friends fight in an admittedly clever foreshadowing joke. Then a helicarrier suddenly falls from the sky, decapitating the young Zack Snyder and sending his little head flying towards the camera in 3D before the words ?Civil War? explode across the screen, the text written in the boy?s blood and brain matter. It?s a pretty harsh attack from the folks at Marvel against their DC competitors, and such a wildly violent opening that I don?t know how Disney thinks the movie could possibly get a PG or PG-13 rating. Perhaps the studio decided to deliver an R-rated picture at the last minute to capitalize on the success of ?Deadpool?, but it certainly feels out of place and decidedly wrong, setting the tone for a movie filled with similar missteps.

Here's the whole thing:

Ok, so after reading a bunch of non-spoiler reviews of it I reluctantly agreed to go watch Batman V Superman yesterday, and I gotta say after seeing it I feel like a lot of reviewers just need to pull the rod out of their ass and lighten the f**k up because the movie was a shit-tonne of fun!

Sure, it's not gonna win best picture in a hurry, but as far as comic book movies go this was the most fun I've had in a while. People's gripes about it seemed to be centred on shit like Batman killing people, bad editing and weird dream sequences, but whilst it was all a bit weird with the dreams and clearly aimed at comic fans (had my mate explain to me that the weird flying things in Batman's dream were some alien bad guy's henchmen from the comics) none of it bothered me very much.

On the whole, I thought this was definitely better than the last avengers movie in any case definitely made up for Man of Steel. All in all it kinda felt like what you might get if you mixed the light and fluffy marvel avengers movies with the dark and more grounded Nolan Batman movies, and for me at least it worked a treat.

Yeah I don't know what the f**k people are complaining about. I'm hardly a DC fanboy and I thought it was alright. I enjoyed it more than Avengers 2 and Ant Man.

Agree with above two with exception of preference over Ant Man which surprised me.

Rotten Tomatoes critics seems harsh score but user around 75 seems fair to me.

Yeah it's definitely a 7.5 movie.

I preferred it to Age of Ultron, I think Civil War could end up being the best movie in the Marvel universe though.

Civil War looks seriously awesome, but I found Ultron pretty boring and disappointing. He just never looked like a threat and seeing the avengers just face another army of drones was kinda lame.

Don't count your chickens re: Civil War
They've had some terrible movies with amazing trailers.

They have a far better track record than DC though. I honestly can't say a single Marvel movie I haven't enjoyed to some extent, can't say the same for most movies coming out of DC. At least they do Batman alright, at least in their recent attempts.

I didn't think much of the Iron Man sequels, any Thor stand alone, First Captain America or Avengers sequel.

Civil War opens in 3 weeks in Oz.

Yeah I know, there having screenings in the states next week.

Actually youll start hearing how good it is by Sunday our time as they have enough confidence in it to start showing it to critics.

Age of Ultron, the Thor movies and Iron Man sequels are all really meh in my opinion. Not terrible movies but not really good ones either.

I enjoyed The First Avenger though.

Ranking them I'd say

Avengers 1
The Winter Soldier
Guardians
Iron Man 1
Ant-Man
The First Avenger
Age of Ultron
Iron man 2/3
Thor 1
Thor 2

Never even watched the Hulk movie.

It wont be like BvS though where critics werent allowed to review it till the friday but all the fanboys who were invited to the Thursday screening were allowed to give there opinions freely.
