Our 1st family dog, a Corgi, died at 17 of bowl cancer and our 2nd, a GS/Ridgeback died last year at 14 of a stroke. I was gutted by both
My wife and I have 2 of our own now, staffys aged 4 and 1, and we are dreading the day they pack it in.
I will be a dog owner for the rest of my life though. The pain of losing them is far outweighed by the pure awesomeness of having them in your life
