Scott threw the first punch so that it generally treated more seriously. He also threw a series of punches and didn't look like letting up if not for the intervention of others on the field. Api threw a single punch at a bloke that was in the process of punching his teammate. I don't see how the 2 could be seen as equal.

I reckon Api would have been given his marching orders and would have had no argument if dopey prick Perenara hadn't sin binned Walker for no apparent reason.

Exactly.

If the Storm weren’t stripped of the 2 points they got v Dragons after scoring from a play the ball after the full time siren, that NRL admitted was a f*ck up and which undisputably cost the Dragons the game, how could they strip Many of points for a f*ck up that had no impact on the result?

The NRL aren't admitting fault here though. From the statement last night they are blaming the clubs.

I’m sure I’ve read that it’s the clubs responsibility to keep time of sinbins?

Anyway, I’m pretty uninformed as I was at the game with no real solid info to work from

Club responsibility, if the away team doesn’t provide a sin bin operator they are reliant on the other team/nrl official

Yep not equal at all. Api's was much worse. f**king coward throwing a punch from the side. What a weak bitch

Years ago an interchange blunder occurred during a Bulldogs game where they momentarily had 14 players on the field. They went onto win that game and were later deducted of the two points. I think it was in 2009.

Wally's glorious coaching saw the Seagulls stripped of points in 1992 as they fielded an illegal replacement

As Fitler said, you start throwing punches in that situation, you expect punches to come at you from somewhere.
You start throwing punches because someone taunted you on a sports field (we accept it more in rugby league than most other sports, but why?) and you're a dog and you deserve whatever comes back at you.
It's not like Api had any opportunity to square up with Scott. People are talking about what would happen if Api did this in the Cross, the reality is, if that whole thing happens on the street, there's half a dozen blokes being carted off by the cops.

With the no punching rule we have at the moment if Walker is out for 6 weeks I expect Scott to be out for the same amount of time

You're forgetting who Scott plays for. Cameron Smith has probably already given Greenberg and the MRC a call.

He'll get 2 weeks at most.

It was such a shit period for us, I think the week after we got robbed vs St George Illawarra after Jamal Idris' match winning try was disallowed because of Jamie Sowards theatrics. Really hurt us and ultimately cost us the minor premiership.

I remember that too! Was watching with a mad dogs fan. Never seen so much rage in my life.
Quick exit from his house after the game.

If you’re going to have a no biff rule there needs to be a clamp down on all the carry on that has replaced it.
Watching 5 15 stone blokes push each other a bit is such a bad look for the game. I find it hard to condem someone for punching on whilst all the carry on is allowed to continue.

But whilst they do have this rule you shouldn’t be able to play before the person you’ve injured.

100% agree. It'll be bad to have Scott returning before Walker does from the injury caused by his punch

Not sure how that’s relevant to a Dylan Walker poster?

Anyway - difference is one is an NRL officiating f**k up, the other is a c**k up by a club official (as a storm fan I don’t think points should be docked, but a fine should apply)

Seeing as Manly did not have a club official keeping time, and were seemingly reliant on the home teams official, I agree with you.
Fine sufficient.
50k sound reasonable ?
