I wouldn’t be trading anyone at the moment. Just a month ago, we had 1200 games worth of nrl on the sidelines.

Let the other teams come and ask and then demand a ransom for the players they want. Cash, cap space, whatever.
The players we get back must be an upgrade in any position. No trading unless we get forst grade players that are willing to play reserves and bide their time.

If another club wants a player, they need to pay full freight for the player they offload

I think Flanno jnr has more freedom to play footy then he would have with his dad it would have been Flanno ball, no kicking on 2nd or 3rd if chance, would have been no mistake football

Imagine actually thinking Townsend is surplus to requirements and wanting to get rid of him when he’s in the form of his life
It's more so the fact that if one of them has to go, we should be keeping the one that is 10 years younger.

FJ has shown a hell of a lot more promise at his age than Chad did when he entered firsts.. That speaks volumes.

I remember when Chad was coming into 1st grade and Carney was 5/8. On the footy show they asked Carney who would he prefer to be half back, with no hesitation he replied Jeff Robson without a doubt.
Would SJ reply Chad or FJ?
After that season Chad left for the Warriors for 2 years, maybe that's the FJ plan..
The major difference is that Chad was actually off contract, unless FJ has a get out clause he'd be wanting to break his contract (which these days seems to be way too common amongst both clubs and players).

Dont get me wrong. I reckon chad is doing great at the moment and he should be the half this year. Hes like tyrone roberts. Under rated, noone else wants him and wont be burdened by soo duties

Fj is not quite ready. Another year. Then what? Might be a superstar.

As for Flanno Junior if he wants to piss off next year so be it. I truly doubt he would shyte on the Club and his friends mid year but he does seem to think the sun shines out of his arse so who knows.

I think he’ll be a solid first grader but that’s his ceiling. I have a big * to him playing well in the end of season games. History says he chokes.

Trindall although still a few years away from First Grade is the one the Sharks should be investing long term.
It not a matter if he wants to leave, if the club doesn't act he will be forced to leave. Due to cap restrictions and now players having break out seasons the club has to bite the bullet...otherwise the competition will come and pick the eyes out of them.

You keep Chad...you lose about 2 -3 players.

We are stuck with Chad - no one else wants him. At least he's cheap that way.

A slightly better Robson
I don't reckon. I think a lot of the lower clubs would want Chad, for his value he brings a lot.....just not to the Sharks anymore.

How about we send nobody to the Roosters? Not even Flanno Jnr and ESPECIALLY NOT Johnson. He’s a dead set superstar and we’d be absolutely crazy to let him go to the fkn dirty cheating roosters of all places. Those grubs don’t deserve help from anyone.
Out of the clubs hands, players managers run the joint.

You seriously don't think any other clubs would take him?

Clubs who would loooove Townsend (in current order on the ladder):

Storm
Raiders
Eels
Broncos
Cowboys
Warriors
Titans
Bulldogs

I reckon he would be a significant upgrade on the game management of the halves at any of those clubs.

I love what I've seen from Flanagan so far, but he would just be a speculative purchase for most clubs at the moment.

Panthers, Tigers and Roosters would all probably want Townsend in a year or two, though if we compare that to Flanagan, Flanno jnr might be in even more demand in a year or two.

He has embraced the Morris way. The team dynamic has changed , Wado is back. The replacements have had the NRL practice. Chad is only doing what the coach wants, and doing it well. Kyle still has plenty of mistakes in him, he is a young guy and has performed above expectations, a great back up for SJ.
I think we look good for the top eight after that it’s in the hands of the gods ,and they still owe us a few.

Other upside of Chad is his durability.... I'd like to know how many games he's missed since coming back to the Sharks...would be faarrkk all imo.
