Berry on the bench and Hunt starting at hooker is a selection right out of left field.
I'd say the 21 players named are all the guys we may use for the finals (although I'd drop Grant, Frize, McManus and even Mullen and Hinton back from PL if we miss the finals in PL).

At this time last year over half the side was SG Ball players who had been promoted (Mullen, Snowden, Hlad, Tuafua, Barton, Gordon etc etc etc), but this year we only have Walsh from Ball in the starting lineup, and Ling, Cooper, Paterson, Richardson and Seu Seu on the bench.

It is a surprise that Hunt is starting but it might just be the boost he needs. Who knows he might surprise people.

I think he suffers the same problem as Wooden, in that he isn't quite suited to any specialist position, but he is undoubtedly a talent.

Wooden is too slow to be a great back, and too small to be a great lock, but his broken field running is the best in the team, possibly even the club.

Hunt is too big and not good enough on his feet to be a 5/8 - a bit too slow to be a centre - and doesn't seem to enjoy being a forward - but the guy is great with his hands and has a great football brain.

See im not quite sure about that, i think its because he isn't given the chance to Accelerate in one position. Which is the case alot in lower grades, if the coach would just keep him in one position and let him get use to playing that then that would do a world of difference. I noticed on the weekend they were putting him at centre for attack and 5/8 for defence which isn't really fair.

At the weekend they had Dureau standing next to one winger in defence and Walsh standing next to the other winger.
If we are going to do any good in the finals we need both those guys fit, so I suppose it is about protecting them.

Yeah thats a good point, but its not fair on Hunt to be pushed around and not given a chance to get better in one position. Both Dureau and Walsh have had that chance i think its time to give others a chance. (hope people don't get angry at me now about that :p) I know we are coming up to finals and thats the ultimate, i guess only time will tell. Hunt starting at hooker might be just what he needs.

Knights currently running 6th, with the Raiders just outside the eight. Lets hope they can put in for the full eighty, much like Premier League the Flegg boys have let a few sides off the hook this year when leading games by heaps.

If JEN. and ANT. looked at the NSW RL website you would find the FLEGG SIDE is in 4th position on the ladder.

I have noticed you are praising HUNT for his performances in Flegg. It is pretty obvious that you were not at BASS HILL !!! Mr. HUnt missed 3 simple 1 on 1 tackles that led directly to tries against the Knights. That cost the team the game. You are saying he is such a good player but he just can't find a position.
SO REX WILL HELP!!!

5/8 To slow, can't edge tackle.
Centre Far to slow, can't move side ways to tackle
Hooker Missed 1on1 tackles, Passes great from the ground
Backrow Maybe his place. Runs straight and hard and has halp in defence

SO WHERE SHOULD HE PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!

The site maybe unreliable but from other information I have it supports the Knights in 4th position. If you look at the ladder Antonius posted youll see it is a week behind.

Yeah Tony, Rex is 100% correct, we are in fourth position after last weeks effort, because the Roosters lost and so did the Bulldogs. Yesterdays win, consolidates a top four spot, so its looking good for our Flegg boys. Refer to this weeks Big League and it shows that we are running fourth.

It was a good win by the boys, in trying circumstances.
I'll do a full match report later, but just a few things.

Hunt only played hooker for a short time before Berry played out the match. He later came on in the centres and made a good break.

Abel dropped out of the team and Hartman went up to PL - so Cooper and Richardson started as right centre/wing.

Lucas Miller and Cory Paterson were on the bench - so we had all the junior rep players from the club this year except Mullen in the game.

Walsh had his worst game of the year

A guy named Warren Schillings (who I think was the number 20 last week) played the house down. He was our best player.

What position does this Schillings play?
He played prop last week, and second row this week.
He is too small for prop.
Yesterday he was in everything. He wanted to make every tackle and do every hit up. He even chipped ahead once.
I'd play him at lock.

According to the NSWRL website the Knights are in 4th position before yesterday.
http://www.nswrl.com.au/index.cgi?sID=64.
But you still did not make any comment about Hunt.
I checked the ladder from the link on LU to see where we stood, it seems that ladder is incorrect. I didn't comment on Hunt, because I didn't have a comment to make about him.
