I agree have both Yvonne and Erin and ditch Slats, he is dreadful. I wanted to give him a chance but this year he is trying way to hard now that I think he feels comfortable and ruins a lot of the fluency and jokes

reading these threads makes me feel happy that I don't waste my time with this show that had a use by date in the 1990's

I was thinking the same thing the other day.

I wonder why he hasn't been on all year. He's been on the show since the start, and I think its only been the last year he has ''disappeared'' from the show, with no explanation.

Maybe he realised how bad the show has turned into over the years?

What has happened The Falcon?

I haven't seen him on the show since the start of the year.

Falcon and his arch-nemesis Robbo have slowly been phased out of the show, which IMO is one of the very few good decisions the director of TFS has made over the last couple of years since the show took a new direction having Fatty as just a co-host alongside Slats. I don't have a problem with the Falcon himself, but it gets rid of all the buffoonery and garbage Fatty used to heap on him. It was funny back when the panel started paying out on him during his What's Doin? segment in 1998 (too bad there's absolutely no footage of this on YouTube), but the schtick is well and truly past its use-by date.

According to nsw footy show only qld papers 'attacks' individual players and Sydney papers would never do that. Yet, only a couple of days ago Rothfield slammed Papalii as a cheap shot coward.

She has the personality and the knowledge to do Slats job.

This.

If she replaced Slats as co-host it may lead to an increase in ratings, and would greatly change and move the image of TFS away from the boofhead, meathead RL stereotype that many tv critics have of it. At the very least, she should've taken Molan's place as the female panelist and Finch's place with all the interviews. I still maintain that interview she conducted with Will Hopoate was one of the best segments I've seen on TFS since the halcyon days of the '90s before the show started to decline.

Either way or another, Ch9 have stumbled upon some talent and she's definitely been a great asset for the show and Ch9's pathetic RL coverage.

Please - she does not have the talent to host a show - as doesnt slater etc.

YOu need a relaxed host. Matty Johns is the best host of footy shows, Dan Ginnane the second best i reckon

Compared to now with Darryl and Erin doing League Of Their Own. Bring back Mario

I would like to hear your thoughts on this...

You've noticed since the 500th episode special TFS had in 2011, TFS have now started showing numerous old footage (e.g. anti-ads) from past episodes which also include Blocker and Raaaaaaaaay. This has happened more regularly since Raaaaaaay started to appear on the show in 2012 with the "5 in the Bin" segment and it looks like the feuds have been mended and everyone has kissed and made up.

The big question is now: is Ch9 going to re-release "The Best of the Footy Show" DVD, with all the bits involving Blocker, Raaaaay and Mahatma Cote (especially including Blocker and Mahatma Cote)? When I bought that "Decade of Hits" DVD at the time, I was incredibly disappointed that most of the great bits from the '90s were omitted due because of Fatty's personal dispute with Blocker and Raaaaaay. Absolutely no footage of Blocker or Mahatma Cote appear (even the footage of Blocker appearing in some of the clips on the DVD is edited so it makes it look like he doesn't exist in the clip), although you can hear Blocker's raucous laugh in the background in some of the clips. Blocker played an integral part in the early success of the show. I also wasn't aware that Greg Ritchie had a falling out with Fatty as well. Although the period "best of" period on the DVD is 1994-02, 95+% of the footage is taken from 1999-02.

Furthermore, unlike the AFL, the NRL did not release "best of TFS" tapes during the '90s (you can find several of those tapes on eBay, like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/The-Best...92?pt=AU_VHS_Tapes&hash=item5665645988&_uhb=1), neither is there much footage on YouTube from this period. I remember there were several clips of Mahatma on YouTube around 2006, but I think Ch9 must've chucked a spaz and as a result, they were removed. I feel that league fans have definitely been cheated by Ch9....again.

Edit: I do remember that Mahatma Cote made a comeback in the opening episode of 2002 (and flopped), and don't remember seeing him again.
