The Thursday Footy Show is a LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM, where the subject matter is footy.

It has been this way for most of its 21 years.

If you want a serious footy-talk version, then tune in Sunday mornings at 11am. Thursday night has always been silly-buggers. The same "OMG ARE THEY EVA GONA TALK BOUT DA GAME!!!!111!!ONE!!111" posts every f**king week... gimme a break.

Its on at 9.30pm, its enjoyable to watch just to get a cheap laugh out of it.

Its literally the same people every year/ every week that come on here and whinge about it, just dont watch!

I turned the Souths Roosters game off at the 78min mark just in case I caught a bit of it.

Formula for last decade to promote Footy Show:
1. Take recent top 40 hit, the more youthful or feminine the better.
2. Parity it with old men.

I turned it off after the opening Benji/Pharrell parody. That was disgracefully poor quality. Well put sharkknows, a disgrace to the fans intelligience. Get this crap off tv, it's bringing our game into disrepute.

Well I watched it last night and I expect that will be the last time I'll be watching it this year. An insult to our intelligence and just unprofessional crap.

I survived the music number at the start, even though it was horrific.

I enjoyed the bit of initial banter.

I even got through Beau knows the mardi gras which was so offensive to the senses not to mention same sex couples.

I couldn't get through the Molan files. Is she the least charismatic person ever, I cannot stand how her facial expression never changes even when she smiles - has she had work done? Her voice is goatish and never changes tone.

Also why was she wearing a cocktail dress? Someone apparently thinks she is a glamour at 9, but has a figure that is not too far off one of those robots we used to build as kids out of toilet rolls.

I will never watch the footy show again and I've been defending it for years she has deadset killed it.

I don't see in any way shape or form how it was offensive to same sex couples. If anything it promoted tolerance...
