Pretty funny I'll admit.

Still, he debuted before our dream run (whilst we were still losing), and a lot of people last year actually gave him the accolade of sparking our first few wins; the first two games of the run were against the Storm and the Dogs, I think.
He was magnificent against both, and if I remember correctly was the spark for us winning those two games; of course after those two it was all Jarryd.

Still, there's a difference between individual brilliance and playing off the back of the team's form, and you could tell that some of his stuff last year was definitely individual brilliance. I can understand the criticisms for this year, I just hate it when people say someone is 'useless'; in my opinion, it completely destroys the sense of fans supporting their team and players through tough times.
Way I see it, we support Burt, Hindy, Hayne and all through their tough times, why don't we do that with Mortimer? Is it because of his name?

I honestly think its andos fault mortz is copping it from all and sundry. We all know his form hasnt been good this year yet ando continued to pick him putting way too much pressure on him and it was glaringly obvious mortz needed a stint in wenty. That didnt happen until he was 'rested 2 weeks' ago. Ando stuck with him almost all season and mortz kept copping it more and more. IMO if ando dropped him earlier and mortz eventually worked his way back into 1st grade he would have copped a lot less sh*t from every1. Il admit im one of mortz harshest critics and have given it to him all year but i think ando needs to take sum responsibility for mortz season.

Very valid point. Hayne was dangerous tonight but at times he was just playing really arrogant.....I think every player will want to look at their own efforts and feel the rightful shame tonight, it will do them good; some of them need to grow up (even some of the older guys!) and others need to put more effort in.

We are still the Parramatta Eels, and no amount of embarrassment will change that; go Eels, hope you can improve and give our departing friends the best farewell possible!

Yeah, great f**king goose of a 5/8 he was, first touch of the ball as 5/8 and he kicks it dead on the full.
Next touch, goes for a kick and chase even though he's all slow off the wicked wings overdose.
After that(or before w/e) goes for a hit up, gets hammered, starts a biff and gets hammered.
Before that, makes a great intercept and offloads it to himself.
Back to 2nd half, offloads to the rabbitohs for about the 50th time.

Perfectly agree in every sense. It was the same with me for Justin Poore early in the season (though he came good rather quickly).

To be honest. Mortimer is worse than Matt keating. Keating can tackle most of the time but i use that most word loosely. It kills me every week watching this clown when we could have kept Kingston... kills me i tell ya.....

No I will be honest here. Mortimer has zero kicking game. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't watch the game. Mortimer also cant tackle to save his own life. Mortimer cant even do a basic cut out pass. Mortimer throws inside balls at the opposition 20 meter line on EVERY SET.. RUN THE BALL!!!!
