Who exactly are you going to replace Semi with? He’s a generational player. The current “best” winger was nowhere to be seen last night. And dispelled the two weeks previous the notion that good wingers can also play fullback

I don't think it is a case of who, but rather what. I think we needed to change our team with different forwards to cover for the departure of Semi's contribution.

I liked Somi in the centers. I quite like Hoffman on the wing as well. Its a pity hes matched with Bevo. We need one powerful winger to compliment either of these guys.
Hayne is and has always been a no no from me. His time has passed. He should be wing or not at all imo.
Evans? I guess he needs time but he seems to stop at the line and not use his size. His movement in defence is extremely poor. Corey was better last night but I was surprised how much kicking he did. I reckon Moses has picked up an injury.
I thought Tepai was enormous last night and Mau was much improved. Mannah and Alvaro worked their butts off. Kings defence was good but his service has gone to shit. Time for Kritchard to get his chance I reckon. Brown was a beast apart from his errors although as with other players he appears to have lost considerable power. Beau was average with minimal minutes. Kenny did ok for his first game back. He will get better.
Will Smith should not play fullback. A quality utility but I reckon hooker is his best spot now days.
Terepo must come in as must Marata. Gower might get an opportunity as well.
Injurys are a bugger but we might get a better team as a result.
Given whats transpired thus far and considering injurys our best team imo at the moment would be.

Week 1 binning probably saved a try .... no issue with that one

Week 2 binning - our players were all disinterested f**ks ... i appreciated he gave a shit enough to go off .... no issue with that one

He has been faaaaaar from our worst so far this season

The second sin binning was wrong too. He was yelling at Will Smith, not the ref. You can hear it in the audio.

name a number 7 or any player for that matter that gets 10 in the bin in rounds 1&2. Doubt that’s ever happened before.

Al good if you’re happy with his performances and I’m just bloody relieved he’s out of our club.

He’s poison.
Im glad you are pleased for us. We are glad to have him. Can we just leave it at that. Whats with you guys. Have you watched the movie "Frozen"?
LET IT GO!

We still need meter eating wingers. Better forwards won't change the starts to our sets.

I dare say this is why we're chasing Mansour.

Cam Smith held a meeting at the Storm and told Bellamy and others of the need to recruit size up front about 4 years ago, someone should start that process at the club immediately.
Delboy, suggesting big forwards here is a dirty word and stating the obvious about the team means your death riding the team! BA is guilty of over-estimating our forwards ability and tried to bring size with 2 poor forwards. Was it bad judgement or going cheap? Unfortunately our 3 recruits have been poor so far and our attack almost non-existent along with our go forward. Next year the team needs a good honest assessment and a good cleanout. Keep the best and promote from within and outside with the emphasis on a quality 17.

I think one thing our team should've learnt so far this season is that two penalty goals is worth the same as a try and there appears this season that you're going to have plenty of opportunities to kick penalty goals.

Penalty goals are generally easier to score points from than a try.

Take the kick every time.

August 24 , 2017.

Besides Auva'a's try in the 10th sec of the match who destroyed Broncos. Yes Semi won that game for us as he has done many times in the past. That is who we have missed the most and BA needed to really strengthen the forwards to compensate but did FA. End of rant.

Maybe we would have it we had got a penalty

Yet again it seems destined we have failed after being pumped up in the pre season. I thought the talk was too good to be true.

Unless there is a quick turnaround i dont think we will do much this year.

What has happened since the 20 min mark in the penrith game.

So how many changes? You’d have to factor in contract and cap status and it’d likely be impossible within I’d say 2 seasons. So really it’s a very narrow minded statement “replacing Semi”

As I’ve said before I like BA but he’s stuffed up with recruitment this season. Had too much faith in his team from last season and recruited very poorly. We look unfit and very light on against bigger teams. I had doubts before the season started about our forwards etc but never thought it would be this bad.
Why wouldn't he have faith in them? They did the job in 2016 and 2017.

Agreed. I remember there was a huge emphasis on wrestling strength in the 2017 preseason but I can’t recall a single mention in the recent preseason. That could be why we are getting massacred in the ruck, which is leading to our ill-discipline. An AFL strength and conditioning coach would not know a thing about league wrestling and the kind of strength/effort required to effectively do it repeatedly.
He has a Masters in High-Performance Sport. He would know everything there is to know about how to build condition for wrestling, without ever having watched a game. But this is the kind of person who works 60 hours a week. He would know plenty about rugby league. He is a professional fitness coach from Sydney.
