hahahaha sorry Tim!

Good discussion guys, I think there's a very good chance that Mullo will be playing 5/8 in SOO, especially given who will be playing fullback...

Unfortunately I agree on the Mullo SOO opinion.

For my own club greed I would love them to pick Wallace, but I dont see that. They will take the 1 and 7 who play together every week.

Sorry Tim in advance.....

Walsh has been good in attack.

His defence has been terrible. He would get torn apart around here if he played like that for the Knights.

Its easy to simply pick out the highlights and lament on how good he is, but lets be realistic.....

Sorry Tim.

I am happy with the current system.

We have two halves who in my opinion are firing well and consistently.

We have a back up keeping them honest who has NRL experience (match winning under heat) who can step up should poor form, rep duties or injuries come up.

Whoever the halves combination for this weekends game is gonna have have to make sure they are ready and willing - Thurston is on fire and could carve us up given a half inch of ground to move.

It wont be our halves who stop JT this weekend it will be all up to our forwards.

Our frontrowers will need to dominate their pack so he doesnt have good field position and our 2nd rowers will need to cover him wide when he decides to take on the line.

No worries mate, it is unreasonable for me to think Walsh wont figure in this discussion. but continually saying we let the wrong half go is wrong.

I would prefer any of our fit halves in comparison to a guy who was a proven track record of missing games..... he is up there with Mad Dog and Pup.

I think Mullo will be in 6 in SOO, with Wallace in 7.

Campo has been pretty average this year, Anasta (aside from Gould wanking on over him) has been awful, and Sutton is injured.

having said that, I want him playing for us :(

Don't discount Ndaira in the halves come SOO time either.

From what I can gather, the number 6 jersey will come down to mullen or campo. With mullens shoulder injury, I know who I am hoping gets picked :)

Karma your a funny guy... You believe the issue is dead do you... THEN BOOM rip it out hahaha!

Well I still aint liking Rogers too much dunno why... I couldnt possibly say that Duearu has outperformed Rogers this year but maybe becuase I want to see Mullen play 5/8th pushes me to want the Duearu/Mullen combination... I dont know, I just dont know...

None of us do mate. Those of us that are pushing for Mullo in the 6, are seeing him play a very similar game when he is in the 7.

I still think Scott gives him more freedom than Rogers does, but you cannot discount results. And maybe not being the fulltime 2nd receiver gives him more of a chance to pick his moments....

At the end of the day the discussion for mine comes down to Mullo, and if he continues to play at the level we saw on Saturday it doesnt matter who is standing next to him.

i think the issue is effectively moot now. who cares who our halves are when we're playing this good? i'm loving our style of play with 7. Mullen and 6. Rogers and i don't want it to change. rogers has been great for a good while now... and i'm starting to believe that smithy has helped him turn the corner. i don't want to put the mockers on the bloke, and he's still prone to the odd stupid penalty or drop ball... but he's well worth it (much like fa'aoso).

I think you have to look at in a wider veiw. ie:- Kidley,Mullen,Rogers. as opposed to Dureau, Mullen, Kidley. I think the combination of Kidley, Mullen, Rogers is the better one. With Dureau missing I think Kidley takes more of a role and this allows Mullen a bit more freedom in the team, and it is showing. That doesn't mean Kidley under performs with Dureau there, I just think he and the team look so much more organised, and so does Mullen. The team is looking more fluent with Rogers there IMO.

I'm certainly not complaining with how we are playing overall...am really really stoked actually :D But we have seen one of Gidleys worst habits pop up a few times over the last month, and that is the "doing too much playmaking" from 1st reciever instead of what he did last weekend (and with De Gois against the Broncos I think) which suits him perfectly. This bad habit of his has been at its worst when we've been losing games or going close to losing them - Tigers comes to mind as well as the 2nd Titans game in parts.
