Maybe because the people directly involved are young and don't have much awareness of those players from the early years.

I find it weird 3 guys from a super dark period made it. Even Rat I get but wouldn't have done first. He was a huge reason I became a Sharks fan but just 123 games... Covell had 131 for example. Rat is such a heart break for me so perhaps I am not objective. Probably the same feeling when Holmes walks on in in 10 years time.

Fifita, Graham and Lewis should have been the first in if we are looking at "modern" players. If you ask anyone who was the best prop for the last 30 years at the Sharks not one person would say Stevo over Fifita. I am guessing they are holding the 2016 guys back for next year and the 10 years.

I think also some tribute to the 1979 Amco cup winning team, that would have resonated with every sharks supporter, if you don't know that success your not a real sharks supporter
