Interchange forwards Matt Parsons and Andrew Price are out of tonight's game against the Bulldogs - but Newcastle have been boosted by the return of Test second-rower Steve Simpson.

Parsons (corked thigh) and Price (ribs) were scratched late yesterday, with Simpson - back from a jaw injury - and Daniel Tolar the replacements.

Knights prop Adam Woolnough (neck) will need a clearance from a specialist this morning.

The unchanged Bulldogs will be hoping to maintain their opponents' poor run at Telstra Stadium - the Knights haven't won there since their 2001 grand final success.

kurt has a foot injury but is hopeful of playing on saturday, buderus is still batterling injuries but is likely to play

NRL judiciary chairman Greg Woods will decide tomorrow whether to grant Newcastle leave to appeal against Clint Newton's 12-match suspension after hearing submissions last night.
