Wouldn't say no to Anderson, he's a backrower but from memory was the fastest player at the broncos 2 years back

If we picked up Lawrence we would be cornering the market on the Aussie schoolboys side that Mullo captained - Mullo, Patto, Uate, Issac, Lawrence - should find out who the other centre was and we could have the entire 3/4 line

Another name. Clinton Toopi?
Leeds Rhinos' plans for next season have been thrown into confusion by a serious injury to their major new signing Danny Buderus following the weekend announcement that Clinton Toopi has played his last game for the club.

The Rhinos have released Toopi from the remaining year of his contract after the New Zealand centre, 28, suffered his second serious knee injury of the season in last month's Challenge Cup semi-final defeat by St Helens.

Smith is at the Panthers vs Storm game.

Would this have anything to do with the signing, or is he only there because we vs them next week? Or both?

meh..

I thought about him, but I was under the impression he'd signed a new deal with Parramatta a while back :?

Yeah he signed a huge contract with Parra. I don't think much of him anyway, good defender but only cause it's like playing a backrower in the centres.

signed a 4 year contract at the start of this year. still wouldn't be surprised though if Parra allowed him to go. solid player to have in your backline but not blessed with much pace.

If Smith was at the game tonight, maybe we're looking at Tighe or Quinn...there's some players who I'm sure would love to join us...

Or maybe he was just looking at the Melbourne Storm, our opponents next week, the same way he did when he went to Canberra earlier in the year to watch them play the Raiders the week before we played them in Melbourne? ;-)

Matt King would be a damn fine signing if we could secure him. Was a travesty that he went to the UK while he still had good, NRL playing years ahead of him.

Of the English names being bandied about - Senior is too old and Gleeson isn't going to get much better, either. Maybe Yeaman?

It was interesting when it was mentioned at the press conference that week. Smith said he would like to see all the opposition live if it were possible, because the wider perspective was helpful with things that were hard to gauge on video--like how deep wingers drop back when defending late in tackle counts and so forth.
