Ok fellas, so how many are we gna put on em...whats your predictions...can we make it an impossible two from two at the start of the season???

I think we should get them comfortably, by two tries or more as long as its dry on friday

Someone's confident.. dunno why though as it will be a very close game

Comfortably? doubt it.. Just becasue Johns may not play doesnt mean Newcastle will be any easier. They have learnt to win games without him and will be mighty tough to beat friday night.

When does Bedsy come back?

I'm thinking the winning margin to be 2 points by either side. Would love to say I'm confident, but you can never be at the start of a season.

I agree, too many rookies for a blowout. Having said that youthful excuberance may be worth another 10 points if the knights are off their game.

Watch for a hatrick from Williams.........since we're talking it up....LOL

A Williams hat-trick would be nice. I got him in my Virtual League side :D

On a more serious note, I do think Seu Seu will be interesting to watch. Had a reasonable game on the weekend, and his darting runs, whilst a touch ill-directed at times, got the Dogs defence scrambling a bit more.

Mullen v Williams is going to be the best show down. Johns heir v Uncovered talent - Has the earmarks of a romantic tragedy. All we need now is a cheerleader in distress.

Heh, your so going to cop it if we lose Pete.

I think we should win, but it seems Newcastle have improved, without Johns wise.

yeh true that we seem to loose big games like grand finals when he's involved

and seriously going on the past round i think we ca beat them well, i really cant fault our performance much, though the knights didnt impress me at all. If we keep our mistakes to a minimum and Ryles can go 2 weeks without doin something stupid i think we will win by 10 or more

Are Newcastle still in the comp? I thought they got replaced by the Titans? Who is this Andrew Jones?

Your guess is as good as mine mate...

And for you to say the knights will not be any easier is absolutely foolish...loosing your best player will always have an effect on the team no matter how small it may be. You will still find it more difficult without him than if he played

You're forgetting Ryles grubber kick against the Titans last week :p

For Jason Ryles to not do something stupid in two consecutive matches, he needs to either be injured, suspended or playing Origin :sarcasm:

Jks, Jks. :D

The difference between Johns and no Johns will only be in the margin of victory for us. Dragons are hopeless in 07.

You dickhead. Your fellow supporters are just as cocky.

See here for the link and read post #6.

You should pay more attention to these guys i.e. Newcastle fans with some basis on reality.

And despite the fact that we stumbled over the line at home against twelve men and on the back of a contentious disallowed try and a dropped pass with the line wide open -- you'd have to be very optimistic not to concede that any game in which we play without both Johns and Buderus (and maybe even Mullen) we're not likely to look like premiership-winning material either.

agreed, back to earth everyone. we gutsed out a marginal win against 12 men - albeit without our general... but the fact still stands. jeez we were lucky that pass didn't stick..

I'm not cocky. I'm sure. We may have beaten a twelve man Dogs side by 1 after losing our captain and #1 player. But you struggled to beat a Gold Coast side playing its first competitive game. I daresay our win looked a little less shaky than yours. A loss to the Dragons this weekend would be a disappointing result for us. I'm sorry if that hurts to read, but let's face it, your mob aren't exactly expected to take out the comp this year.

We're allowed to say what we want in our own section.

Last I checked, we all registered on the same forums. I don't recall specifying which sub forum would be 'mine'. ;-)
